After 2 and 1/2 years of searching and bidding for this car, I finally have it. My very own Toyota Century Limousine! This car has every single feature you could ask for out of a car, from comfortable interior and spacious legroom, to a bespoke 5.0L V12, a TV, electric curtains, massaging heated reclining seats, pillows, touchscreen navigation and even a way to lay down while being driven around in comfort. This car is Japan's most prestigous luxury vehicle, as well as Toyota's most expensive vehicle manufactured to date, and you'll find out why in this video. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, its everything I could have hoped for and so much more!

Don't be discouraged by the one-off style! the engine uses mostly 1JZ components, and much of the wiring is shared across multiple models, so unless there is catastophic failure or body damage, it should be easy to manage

@@streetfighter398 pretty much, simmilar to the McLaren F1's S70/2 and it's dual S50 motor, it merges two 1JZ blocks. along with one reverse-flow head on the passenger side, so yes its two 1j's with one of them being reverse flow and mirrored

I'd love to see some super mild mods, whatever suspension can make it low while parked up but retains all factory comfort, that exhaust cutout you talked about, some Emitz with Century center caps or 3 piece converted Century wheels. Maybe some high end dress up parts as well haha

Wheels, air setup, exhaust sounds, make the screens work, definitely get your own flag made, and enjoy. The car seems like the coolest car ever.
I have the air controller you are talking about in the video on my 98 LS400. My car is on the original air bags. And it has been driven in nordern Norway for its entire life. 250k Km, summer and winter driving. The air controller was installed over 1 year ago. 0 problems with the system. Even driving it superlow
I have the controller you were talking about for the bags in my 04 Crown Majesta (the model that's below the Century) and I can say that it made no noticeable difference to the ride quality compared to the stock setup, it still feels like you're driving on a cloud so I'd highly recommend getting it to lower it a bit
I think it’d be really cool to do a video or two on researching the history on the car. Being such a rare and expensive car, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult to trace it back 25 years. The fancy shoe horn with the name really intrigued me.
This is one of those cars where the only mods I would do is tint, wheels, and maybe like a custom exhaust with a remote exhaust valve to keep it quite still. I would leave it stock for the most part and enjoy it, but congrats Mike!

Congrats man! I will also own one of these one day. I say just get the factory air controller and wheels and call it a day. Even with the stock bags they can almost be slammed all the way. Maybe exhaust cutouts you control for occasional noise when you want it. That's what I'd do. Can't wait to see what you do

only mod that was not brought up in the video.. this needs the most KILLER sound system. just keep it all non intrusive and reversible. Dual sealed 12's or 15's, 3 way components front and back, good amps to drive them all loud and clean, and either a classy head unit that blends in with the console or wire it up incognito with just bluetooth input. The good thing is the century probably already has tons of sound deadening so no rattles or reverb to worry about!

Congratulations man! Thing is so good. I’d definitely try to get the factory air controller for the suspension and at least get some spacers for the stock wheels. And or turning them into 3 piece wheels could be sick too. That ride with Marco was gold. Giving rides to the homies needs to become a thing

So sick!! I got a 97 Crown Majesta and thought I was living in luxury until seeing what I'm missing in the Century. Only mod suggestions: 3piece the OEM wheels, and a cutout valve for the exhaust

Mike the century is awesome and so damn clean and honestly I think the only thing I'd do to it, is get the wheels that they replicated from the stock ones you talked about. Also try to get the center cap on and maybe if you can lower it like half an inch to a inch if you can and the cutout is a sick ass idea.

I have had the opportunity to drive a lot of really incredible cars, including a Century (I believe it was an '89). It was such a comfortable car, so quiet so quiet and smooth, yet cornered pretty well for how large it is. I would love to have one myself, they are such a pleasure to drive.

Love the century! If you want to change anything about the car you can add an exhaust and get the loud V12 sound or if you want luxyury you can always replace the bags if they are worn.

A friend of mine has the Toyota branded shaver and feather duster in is Century. A car is truly appreciated when you can appreciate it in stock form.
Few of these in Australia, yours is most certainly one of the cleanest examples out there I've seen.

Dude, this is awesome-congrats! I have a 1996 Nissan Cima, and while it has some of the same interior features, it's absolutely nothing compared to your '97 Century! :D
literally the only one thing id want to do is make those factory century wheels into some crazy custom 3 pieces wheels (just like the remade stock s13 teardrops 3 piece wheels)

I have soooo much love for these cars. So cool and very unique. You have rad taste. The features of a 90’s Japanese car still surpasses most today.
If I were to personally do anything to it, I would get a nice set of Work Emitz and get the 3rd party air controller. Other than that she’s perfect as she sits.
