North sea storm hits Aberdeenshire harbour again with piers submerged in the higher than usual tides

  • Well what can I say, another storm hits our local harbour from the east, making larger tides than normal with piers nearly submerged and large boulders scatterd all over the shore.
Large waves relentlessly batter the already damaged outer breakwater wall.
Take care in this weather folks
    Stay warm
    Stay safe

if you got accesss to plenty wood a wee woodburner would be ideal -- with all those storms youll get plenty logs off the beach - cut it up and let it dry over the summer

Thanks for yer comment, I did think aboot that David, their very cheap aswell but I like the idea o the wee stove as I am often on beaches and see large logs washed up.
How long does yer battery last to power the glow plug thingy in it?

I have just had one fitted into my van a few weeks ago, they are great and use hardly any diesel......on low tick-over they use about 200ml per hour (about 30p an hour). And the remote control allows it to be switched on from inside the house, so the van is warm before getting in!

@@ingridshepherd2168 Thanks for yer input Ingrid, I do like these heaters as we have an 8kw one in our boat and it runs away nicely and keeps us cosy all winter at sea, im just wondering how long it would last on battery not charging in my shed?

@@davidslapp3400 oh great stuff, I did wonder if it might be ok on something like that, thanks for that info David, this might be the easyer option for me as I know these heaters well.
Can you let me know what model transformer you have bud?
