  • Crossing the Ecuador - Peru border I travel into the sleepy beach town of Zorritos in Tumbes. Roaming around, enjoying the beautiful untouched beaches, eating local food and finding out where everyone has gone. I also show you around an amazing hotel that is perfect for quiet vacation.

_Hello , Welcome to Peru. The coast of Peru is the richest ocean in the World. No exaggeration at all. The Humboldt Current also called Peruvian Current goes from South to North . Its size is huge , 2 times the size of Peru. It brings an astonishing amount of Plancton what is the basic food in the Ocean. Anchoveta is obtained by hundreds and hundreds of tons and transformed into Harina de Pescado ( fish-meal ). This current turn toward the left at about Piura , not entering in Ecuador. That is why all the coast of Peru is desertic vs the coast of Ecuador is green and rains a lot. This astronomic abundance of fish and seafood was the reason of First Civilization in all America as Caral, where they built Pyramids and had fishing net made out of cotton, one of the first fish net in the Old World (proto-ceviche about 5,000 years ago)_

Agree…vegetarian food is sometimes hard to find. However, is odd that that restaurant didn’t at least have rice and beans, no?
