I lost my father today, I broke my leg a week ago and was already in a dark place because I can't work to provide for my family at the moment. He made sure to call and cut up and joke, talk to my little girl that was papaw's baby" and today I was woken up with the news. This song is really helping me right now and reading some of the comments. Helps me know I'm not the only one going through a hard time and that I'm not alone. Bless this band and all of you.

So sorry for your loss. 2 other good songs by them are "Never again"..the message is don't waste time... and "ashes of eden", bout heaven... helped me thru my dad's death n my son's dad's death... all in 2022 they passed 2 day's short of 2 month's apart. You father would call you because he probably knew you needed a push. He knew you could keep going. I'm a father myself when my son or daughter fails I always give them a push as a father they are the best of everything in my life so even their failures I'm proud of how hard they try and wish they will keep their heads up and keep going. I know your father loved you and wants you to keep your head up and push through so you enjoy your children as they grow and show you the joy of being a parent like myself and I bet your father felt watching you grow into the person you are now and will become in the future.

Got to say, a few years ago this video turned me around. I was in a dark place mentally, considering ending it for no good reason. Had some pretty crappy attempts too. That quote at the end had an impact on me, that God created the world in 7 days and in 7 seconds I shattered mine. After all the work that God has done and has yet to do in my life, how could I destroy that now? Today I am studying for Pastoral Ministry and have learned better how to deal with my past, my mistakes, to face the Enemy when he tries to drag me back there. I say better because I am far from perfect, but I am a living testimony of the Grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just happened to be a drunk driver that went under his tandems on a 53ft dryvan loaded down at 35,000lbs on the axle. Truck went under trailer went over came out flat as a pancake. Still no idea if they survived to this day..

Whenever something very traumatic happens to me I always come back here to watch and listen to this music video to remember who I am and that I can survive the experience. Thats so weird. I had to work in the hospital where my brother died, adding a section onto it when it went from kennedy to jefferson. The feelings so weird. Never thought id set foot there again. Didnt even realize it at first with the different name.
I finally watched this movie today. I cried at the end 😭. Even though this is not the official music video, I finally understand why this song and this movie goes will together. At least it had a wholesome ending with Ezra and Emily meeting each other.

I've been there myself and I know what it's like. It took something bad to push me to help myself more than I was doing. Meeting the right person was what truly broke me out of it but till then, each day I was trying to keep busy and do things that took courage to get done. Having someone truly need you helps too. It makes you stronger for them as well as yourself. You just need to find the strength that is inside you. There is an up with a downward spiral. You are more than you think

Still to this very day this song, Anthem of the Angels, and Give Me a Sign make me cry every single time. All these years later. I've never had any song hit me so emotionally for so long. Maybe it's because this whole album especially those songs helped me cope with my grandfather's passing.
Seven Pounds and The Ledge are the only 2 movies ever to make me cry, this song fits perfectly with the movie, definitely one of my favorite movies.
This song is amazing! I feel so connected with it, and when the scenes for 7 pounds(a movie that's the saddest by far, and makes me cry and breaks my nonexistent balls everytime I watch it); this was beautifully crafted I cried just watchin this lil tidbit.

Old post, but I'll reply anyway. Not really an accident, he drove distracted and killed people. I think the movie tries to imply that he was kind of cocky and self-centered, not realizing the impact his actions could have on others, and then gets taught a HARSH lesson. I consider an accident to be not seeing someone, or making a turn too sharp, not screwing around on your phone instead of watching the road.

No, he doesn't have to prove anything...if you watch the movie you will see why it's so difficult for him at the end to end his life...(SPOILERS) at the point, we meet him in the movie, his mind is set on taking his life, due to his depression and the mistake he made...he lost the love of his life and feels he has no reason to go on...so he makes plans to donate all his organs when the deed is finally done and screens to find people worthy of receiving them...what he does not plan is actually falling in love with one donor, specifically the one he is going to donate the heart to...he had no hope to live but he suddenly finds a reason to live, but that very reason is needing his heart to carry on living...you see the crux there...he has to make a difficult choice...brilliant movie
