Slaughter to Prevail kick ass. They're a Russian deathcore band, and they slay. Also, I'm sad this is going to be your last reaction video, cause I enjoy watching them. But I can totally understand why you don't want to do them anymore.
Good on ya for stickin to ur guns. Shame the negativity put u off ( comes with the territory ) I hope u continue tho. Constructive criticism is needed in the react game. 😁
(edit:in regards to the baby metal video mentioned in the beginning) For real, it's called a "reaction" video and you gave your honest reaction so I don't see what people are upset about. You don't have to like what you're presented with especially when your channel is based off of the differing perspective you have as an old head. Keep doing you man
I’m a metal reactions addict. Love sharing our thoughts and feelings. But I do often feel lonely in my not liking Babymetal. The vocals put me off. Doesn’t do anything for me. But Alex’s vocals; that’s my shit.

Don’t let baby metal stans kick you off from doing legit reactions. Baby metal is cool but I’d rather see authentic reaction videos shitting on them than see every other staged reaction.
Baby metal fans are mad toxic, they literally take offense to a whole other level if you don’t like their songs, for them it’s like you have to like their songs or else you have shit taste in music
KRATT0R I agree lol as a baby metal fan I am part of a few good apples in the bunch that isn't toxic, maybe that's because I have a wider range of music

There are bootleg vids from Alex in concert screaming "Demolisher" whilst holding the mic down by his legs. It's his vocals, well & long trained to get that low with minimal audio effects to enhance it.
It's called Deathcore mate. They're in the same Metal genre as bands like Thy Art is Murder, Winds of Plague, Infant Annihilator, Altered Perceptions, Angel Maker etc. Deathcore is a fusion of Death Metal, Metalcore and Hardcore. It's been around since the early 2000s and has gone through several phases. At one point it was looked down upon by alot of Metalheads but over time as it matured more it started to gain alot more respect. It's earned it's place in Metal and even though there are still some elitists who hate on it I have met alot of Metalheads who use to despise it that love it now. Anyways great reaction mate. What makes the snare hits so impactful is the anticipation built up in the more open sound from the lack of drum hits (just cymbals) in between; And I believe he also holds the sticks backward (holding the tip, hitting with the base). Sounds epic, the drummer's a beast
The cymbal work on this track is so fucking sick. Great tune. Great video. I appreciate all bands that you said STP probably pulls influence from because you can hear it. Respect dude.
Hey, it's a sad thing you're not doing more reactions but if you do them again I recommend The Heretic Prevails by Shadow of Intent, I think it totally worth it
As a drummer I couldn't help but love you bringing up that snare hit after the vocal breakdown. Lol. You must be the only reactor on YT to pick that up.
I think you might like the band Loathe. Their latest album “I Let It In And It Took Everything” is really good IMO. It gets heavy, sure, but they have melodic songs that sound a lot like old Deftones (think White Pony era) to me.

I want to say that I really enjoy legit reactions. I want to hear what they think is good/bad, and why they think that is. I mean, its fun seeing peoples reaction to art. I dont understand the "backlash" on this.
Hey man, sorry to hear youll be stopping the reactions with this one, but I cant say you didnt go out with a bang. If you wanna explore the modern Deathcore scene more on your own, theres alot of very interesting different bands that all have their own influences you could check out that I really think are bringing extreme metal to new places. Modern Deathcore has truly brought every edge and corner of metal under one umbrella in my opinion, with each of the bigger bands feeling very different and a cohort of smaller bands that arent simply derivative. Only being new to your channel, I dont know exactly which subgenres you listen to the most. My favourite band right now is Shadow Of Intent, who I expect will be the kings of the genre soon. They are truly amazing. They bring Melodic Death Metal, Symphonic Black Metal and Prog together with the classic Deathcore sounds of the early 2000s to craft a truly unique yet oddly familiar soundscape, with vocalist Ben Duerr at the helm being, in my opinion, one of the best extreme vocalists in the world right now (and yes, he can do all those things live). Their two albums that I would suggest giving a shot would be Melancholy and Reclaimer. Melancholy probably has a bit more that you would like, bringing the intensity up and down across its run time, and even managing to find the time for a ten minute instrumental that remains interesting throughout, whereas Reclaimer is a bit more of a blastfest (although covered in some of the most tasteful lead writing and well deserved breakdowns I have ever heard). If you were to react to them, most people would ask you to react to The Heretic Prevails, which is an amazing song and has one of the most technically virtuosic vocal sections in any deathcore ever, but I think youd personally be more interested in either The Tartarus Impalement (their big epic ballad) or Melancholy (the massive outro to their latest album Melancholy). Another big band I would advise checking out is Black Tongue. An english band fusing Deathdoom and Beatdown Hardcore (and on their latest album, Straight Norwegian Black Metal). If doom metal isnt your thing, you probably wont like them, but I think youd be hardpressed to find a more haunting sound than their latest album Nadir, which is a mournful funeral march as dark as it is gruesome describing a mans journey through purgatory in Drop C1. Songs to check out individually would be Second Death or Crippled Before The Dwelling Place of God, however this album almost has to be experienced in one sitting. For some of their older, more beatdowny stuff, Fauxhammer, H.C.H.C and Coma are all phenomenal slabs of music that never fail to make me break something. A smaller band that I think deserves some love is Methwitch. Im hardpressed to describe what it is beyond chaotic, but this one man project fuses noise rock, grindcore, math rock, hardcore and technical death metal in one particularly chaotic package that simply cant be described. Give the latest album Indwell a listen, and dont worry if it starts to feel a bit samey, youre in for quite the surprise halfway through. Anyway, love your stuff man, i`ll be watching more of your stuff in the future, the insight of an old metalhead that doesnt feel the need to insult everything new and isnt afraid to give everything a try is truly refreshing and also helpful to a 17-year old metalhead in a band trying to learn the history of the genre he loves and understand its roots.
Three weeks late to this party but, mentioning they have some elements similar to The Red Chord. That is literally spot on. This band is like if Napalm Death, The Red Chord and Six Feet Under had a sex party.
Just found your channel through this reaction, and I have to say this is a kickass reaction. Really liked your input. I'm with you on baby metal, never been a fan. Can't get into them. Hope to see you do more reactions!
Never heard of this band, but thought they were alright. Think I pretty much am with you on them. Solid at what they do, that's definitely apparent. Bet their live shows get pretty crazy. Shitty hearing this is your last reaction video, but after the last one, I figured that you might want to steer away from doing them in the future. RUclips's algorithm definitely worked in recommended your vid that day; unfortunately it got recommended to a bunch of BM fanboys. I guess that's a risk that you run with these videos, and after seeing the reactions from some of those people, I really cannot blame you. There was a lot of negativity thrown your way. Shit, I was swatting them away from a couple of my comments for like a day and a half, lol. I wouldn't have even given them another chance honestly, but good on you for listening to another song. You do you, and I'll gladly watch what you put out. You've turned me on to a few new bands I'd not heard of before and I really appreciate that. Thanks man!🤘 Also, if you ever get around to doing these again: _Stray From the Path_ Newerish band that's got like a RATM thing going. They've got some alright stuff.
I appreciate your realism for this. Much respect for that, you beautiful bearded man. Also, if I may - don't let the Jabberwocky of reacting get to you. The numbers of people who dislike your opinion are minimal to the number of us who enjoy your openness to express opinion. Good day, sir.
Just found your channel and I have to say I'm pretty sad this is your last reaction. Hearing someones actual opinion and take on a song is super refreshing. Not just overreacting and making crazy faces but having something actually impactful and thoughtful to say about what you are listening to, is great.
Interesting you mentioned the importance of the snare hit in the breakdown, I always found that angry china cymbal to be what made the breakdown standout and never really even thought about the snare.
I get where you're coming from with not wanting to listen to music that doesn't resonate with you, and not wanting to put out negativity where it isn't necessary, but honestly I'd love to see more reaction videos from you on metal music (and other genres) thst aren't already on your radar. Most of the reaction channels out there get old after a while because the presenters tend to just gush over everything and really provide no insight or analysis. Hearing you talk about this track both objectively and personally is refreshing and enjoyable I feel. Just my two cents, but I loved this and I'd love to see a lot more. And I guess while I'm here I'd like to suggest more Gojira, maybe Opeth, Tool etc. Great channel!
Just got into your channel. Really love your insight and sad to hear this will be your last reaction. Either way I have a whole catalogue to check out, so thanks for the videos!
Hey bud awsome kickass music! Slaughter to prevail i like them sounds like demons coming to get you.have they been around for a awhile?? How many cds.good review bud.cheers.🍺🔥🔥
I really appreciate your honesty towards this song and well your honesty in general. It’s really irritating to see a reaction that is fake just to get subs and likes. The whole thought is to see your honest reaction whether it be positive or negative. I would hope that ppl are grown up enough to realize that not everyone likes everything I like for example. It's not just a blast beat. It's a gravity blast and his double kick is up in the 280+ beats per minute range. Oh, and Evgeni used to play for Katalepsy, another Russian band.
People gettin mad that you called the low part highly processed. For those of you that are angry, he didnt say pitch-shifted. He didnt get specific at all. Is it layered, delay, reverb, eq'd? IDK myself, but I dont notice anyone claiming that its a raw clean recording.

The song of 2020 kicking ass
dude badass call out on The Red Chord!!!! i felt the same way hearing this band... miss the fuck out of that band
Thanks man!🤘
Also, if you ever get around to doing these again:
_Stray From the Path_
Newerish band that's got like a RATM thing going. They've got some alright stuff.
Finally someone who knows what they're talking about. Great reaction man, look forward to the next even if it's a ways away. quality>quantity
I appreciate your realism for this. Much respect for that, you beautiful bearded man. Also, if I may - don't let the Jabberwocky of reacting get to you. The numbers of people who dislike your opinion are minimal to the number of us who enjoy your openness to express opinion. Good day, sir.
They came out with a new single a few weeks ago; Baba Yaga. It has the Slaughter To Prevail feel, but oh man, it's different. Very, very different!
That snare comment was so funny man, BAP BAP BAP
I do respect ur opinion..
It's good..
That's why you need to do more..
I think you get The Red Chord in mind for the reason that it is complete chaos held together by great musicianship!
Damn I love this album 🤘🤘🤟
As a hip hop head i could not stop looking at your vinyl i want to rummage through it so bad
There’s a lot of Hip Hop in there.
Dude absolutely no tampering with the voice. That's legitimately all him. He's a fuckin boss
Just got into your channel. Really love your insight and sad to hear this will be your last reaction. Either way I have a whole catalogue to check out, so thanks for the videos!
Thanks for watching! I’ll be back to reacting at some point.
Anything by shadow of intent I think you would appreciate
Don't give this stuff up.. You're articulate and fun 👌🏼
How ya know ya got a real metal head who genuinely enjoys the music..?
They change their headbangs when the beat changes too.
And that’s ok. It’s topic for discussion without name calling. Oh well, you know the deal. Anyway ty and subbing. I’m curious to see what else your channel holds. ✌️
Thanks for watching and subscribing!!
It's your own channel it is your own time it is your right to spend it the way you want and nobody can complain about it I'm simply saying fu*k those haters
I'm glad that you are being yourself
I'm newbie here and I enjoyed your video
Best of luck my dude 🤟
Sry one more thing I'd love to see you reacting to Slaughter to prevail agony honestly it is my favorite song and I think you'll enjoy it
Just letting you know
It's not just a blast beat. It's a gravity blast and his double kick is up in the 280+ beats per minute range. Oh, and Evgeni used to play for Katalepsy, another Russian band.
Kinda wish you reacted to the music video to this song, its makes it that much more EPIC!!!!
People gettin mad that you called the low part highly processed. For those of you that are angry, he didnt say pitch-shifted. He didnt get specific at all. Is it layered, delay, reverb, eq'd? IDK myself, but I dont notice anyone claiming that its a raw clean recording.
10:10 not processed bro look up Alex terrible
Best reaction page I've come across, I enjoyed this, I agreed with pretty much everything you said, love this song, had to see what you're about.
If you like Polish metal, try the song "Exercises in Futility I" by Mgła. 🔥
First time here. Are those vinyls on the back? Can i stole them?
The album of this song (Demolisher) isn't out yet, maybe you can give it a try once it's out.
vocals werent processed bro. saw it live. multiple videos of him doing it live, not to mention his instagram videos of him doing the same thing in his bedroom lol.
It’s funny watching a metal head trying to put a sub genre on demolisher
