Your little piece at 9:40 looks to be a key escutcheon. Where it is broke is part of the round section of the skeleton key.... Then it goes straight below that. Probably off of a locker..... Another great video Brad. See you next time!
I love how you show off the cool pieces of nature in your videos too! That Conifer tree was pretty cool! I've seen those back in the day when I lived in MA. And that MA state coin you found was wicked awesome! Great score, Brad!
Hey Brad, what a great quick trip, and amazing finds!! Love Fall in the woods too, and the neat natural details you point out. Keeping a couple old shotgun shells your Dad or Grandpa may have shot is so cool. I would do the same, and will do if I ever get to go detecting where my Dad and Grandpa used to hunt. Keep up the good work.
Dude, I watch a LOT of RUclips, on a variety of subjects. TV gets very little of my time the last few years. I gotta say your channel is great! I’m pretty deliberate about giving video’s a thumbs up and I’m also pretty critical. Your channel is one of a very few I can give a thumbs up right after pressing play, I now know it’s gonna be good! From content, camera work, and editing to the original music, it first class every time. Thanks for all the great content that makes your videos interesting and the “behind the scenes” work that makes them so easy and fun to watch. For real 👍
Love watching your videos not only for your awesome finds but to also see the change of seasons and the beautiful fall leaves miss that so much ...thanks brad 😎🤙
Back when I was a kid, I used to put coins on the railroad tracks. Once they were flattened by the train they looked a lot like your silver coin. Thin, no detail left, and it would explain the brittleness due to the work hardening of the metal. Interesting find!
Well I'll tell ya my friend. It's like this, prove to me it was a coin and I'll shed a tear, but we can't. No harm no foul. It's always a shame to damage any relic found during an adventure, but, at least it WAS found. That was a great find on the Mass Copper. I'm from Northern New England and can almost 'smell' the woods in your videos. I love it and miss it. My favorite time of year to be in the woods is autumn. Thanks for taking us along Brad! Have a great weekend, catch you on the next one. Ken
Look forward to your video's on Friday evenings. I do elder healthcare and come home pretty done in most days. Your videos make me feel like I'm taking a short vacation in the woods. Makes me want to take a roll of dimes and randomly drop them so a hundred years from now someone will be excited by them! Thanks for the breath of Vermont air.
Hey Brad, nice little dig in this video, don’t fret too much on the silver,as they say ,you live and you learn. You were rubbing it to show us.Stay well!🇨🇦👍🇺🇸
I Just adore the fact that you guys' pinpointers are replicas of carrots, the best root vegetable, helping you to want to find treasure, & of course eat carrots!! I usually get a raw carrot & eat it whilst watching GMMDs!! Now i want royalies for my idea, but you're rich & i'm not. Please patent a pinpointer that says "What's up, Doc?!" As well as Beeps! You get the award for Best Performance By A Root Vegetable Not In A Carrot Cake!! Luv You, Man
Aww, Brad that was an Oak Tree Shilling you broke, LOL Great hunt as always. Go back to the island sometime. The Fall foliage was spectacular. Thanks for sharing- from Kentucky!
that sleek silver coin is just a piece of silver as you found it. The weight remains the same lol . Great video. I noticed how different music you use is still easily recognizable as yours. Maybe over the winter you can put up a video of your musical material for us to enjoy. ATB & HH
Excellent discoveries. A lot of history in your finds. I like that you kept the casing in memory of your father and grandfather hunting in that area, bravo. Always a great video and commentary. Thanks for sharing and I hope you kill it on your next treasure hunt.
Brad, it is always a pleasure to watch your videos! The natural beauty of your surroundings is truly awe-inspiring. Congratulations on the Massachusetts copper, as well as your other finds!
Hey just wanted to say I love your channel man, it is awesome is so good to come home and after a long hard day of work just come watch the show. It’s like a therapy of sorts. I love nature and while im a city guy. It cool to see and hear the woods and also discover your finds as you find them. Much luck always. 👍
I hate when my contacts get blurry and I can't focus clearly on Bigfoot when he ducks behind a tree!!! Contacts are just like any camera that Bigfoot "researches" use in the fact that they ALWAYS take blurry pictures!! LOL. Thanks for another enjoyable video.
Great silver (oops!) & Mass coins!!!! Always enjoy your adventures and always enjoy seeing early colonial. We have a little of it here in the Mid-Ohio Valley but mainly 1780s-1790s when we can find it. Your rosette reminds me of the Civil War era bulls-eye rosette used by the Union artillery but I believe yours is a civilian style. Great hunt! Best wishes.
Great hunt and thank you as always for your time making this video. I dont think you would have ever got an ID on the silver anyway. No big deal.....Todd from Virginia.
Great video as usual. I went again this morning to a old homestead I actually found hunting a long time ago. I found were the old home was but Quite overgrown since the last time I was there. But I did find a pony shoe and a top of a pot belly stove. Still learning though. Best time of year to be in the woods.
Nice hunt Brad, love the rosette, I'd be gutted if I broke a coin that old, but no detail is no detail. Sweet button and copper. Enjoyed seeing you on the live stream from Gone Diggin, keep em comin. Tc and Happy Hunting my friend
Yeah, I'm not sure who it was, either way, both of you were on. You talked about your studio, your mics, music and METAL, along with detecting. Love the mics btw.
Great vid . . . always looking forward to your uploads . . . it's almost Halloween . . . things get creepy . . . especially out alone in the woods . . . maybe the lead you found was backing from the bridal rosette possibly . . . hope you can bring us plenty more excitement before the snow flies ! HH !
@@GMMD I plan on working til the snows too deep to work . . . we are actually getting some snow this week apparently . . . then get some displays built & research old home sites on crown land in my area . . . won't be heading into the bush til spring though . . . deer season almost in . . . HH !
I switched from tenny-boppers to steel plate jump boots after I stepped on a 3 1/2" Honey Locust thorn. Like a caltrop, it went through the sole of the shoe and luckily, between two toes. A fraction of an inch either way would have nailed me in a most uncomfortable way. Congrats on the Mass. coppa, Brad. Hope it cleans up pretty.
That was a great hunt. Nice finds good times an Its all good, I think that silver piece was something worn like jewelry or fancy house housing, to thin to be coinage
Awww such a shame about that silver but congrats on the Massachusetts copper though. Awesome day, thanks for sharing and I hope you didn't get too wet on the way back home. x
3:18 critter in the hole!!!, volt meter resistance could tell about Coin!, key hole on fancy plate !!,thanks for last days of green if you get the colors still very very cool to see thanks
Nice Massachusetts copper! That "was" one weird silver coin. Don't be too hard on yourself for breaking it the rest of the way thru. Now if that was the gold coin from THB that Brad broke, then seeing you weep like a baby would be expected. I know I would.
Do you have a room in your house showing off your finds? I would like to see how you display them. Keep up the good work. I am in Maine near Sugarloaf Ski area.
Perhaps its a silver love token Brad? An old silver coin polished blank and given to a sweetheart. Get them in the UK, generally bent into a soft S shape.
I'm with you Rick, I have a few William IV examples that match this. If you look under a mag glass Brad you may find some stamp marks - I have a few with letters, flowers etc that are not obvious to the naked eye.
Shame about the coin, but good you found it... Those Pesky Vermont Squirrels... The escutcheon-thingy has the look of a stylized nude (with the light shining on it in a certain way?? I don't wear contacts but I've glasses on order to NOW wear all the time!) Perhaps it was a cheeky design from a cigar box or something like that? 👍❔ Is possible?? Glad you had a worthwhile hunt.
If you want to ID that silver and aren't concerned about causing it to have a slight gray tarnish, you can (use nitrile gloves or something similar) rub it with silver testing solution for about 30 seconds and then rinse. The deets will just pop right out while it is still wet. Have a camera handy, as the effects don't last after the coin dries. You can wet it again, but the details will fade away over time. Again... to be certain... the coin will have an ashy gray thin tarnish to it after exposure to nitric acid... but, you could cut the tarnish back to about how it looked when you found it with a little lemon juice, if you want.
Thanks so much for the tip! I gave it a go, twice, but unfortunately still no details came through. Probably for the best, I’d be heartbroken if it was something incredible haha!
So sorry about the silver piece. It was cracked too begin with. Congrats on the state mass coin and buckle piece. Nice buttons are always fun too find. HH!
10:12 is half of a lock trim from a desk or cabinet. You can see the top of the keyhole near your thumb. Round hole with a rectangle off of it for the keyway.

Thanks for the suggestion Eric, that could be! The MA Copper didn't clean up much which is why I didn't take a photo of it after, but still happy to ID it!
Most Friday morning now my young son asks to watch your videos... we enjoy them together so I thank you for keeping everything kid friendly.
That's so great to hear! Thanks for watching!
When you said "I'm wandering" reminded me of this from J.R.R. Tolkien "Not all those who wander are lost", All that is gold does not glitter".
Your little piece at 9:40 looks to be a key escutcheon. Where it is broke is part of the round section of the skeleton key....
Then it goes straight below that. Probably off of a locker.....
Another great video Brad.
See you next time!
Exactly what I thought. The round part of that hole is above the center of the plate which would be strange for a knob.
You're absolutely right! I noticed this as well during editing, treasure chest for sure!
I love how you show off the cool pieces of nature in your videos too! That Conifer tree was pretty cool! I've seen those back in the day when I lived in MA. And that MA state coin you found was wicked awesome! Great score, Brad!
Great episode. Enjoyed watching and loved the sentiment behind the shells.
Thanks Rob!

Outstanding brad ! Great stuff. Always a pleasure to watch thanks for taking us along pal. You have bad habit of hunting in rain this year 😁 .
Thanks, tell me about it! I even have another video on deck with more rain! Unbelievable!

Beautiful & interesting adventure, as always! I had to LOL when it started raining! You're in the rain more often than not! Thanks for the fun! HH
Haha thanks Diana, tell me about it!
The woods can be a scary place when you're alone, thanks for bringing us along!
It sure can Bill, thanks for coming along!
Hey Brad, nice little dig in this video, don’t fret too much on the silver,as they say ,you live and you learn. You were rubbing it to show us.Stay well!🇨🇦👍🇺🇸
Thanks Paul!
Are you ok?? You have lost weight... please take care . When I cant get out to the woods and detect I enjoy your videos to help me relax and learn.
All that fresh Mountain air and hills!
I have lost weight! Better diet and exercise, thanks for noticing =)
Well dont stop... looking and feeling great is worth more than any treasure.
I Just adore the fact that you guys' pinpointers are replicas of carrots, the best root vegetable, helping you to want to find treasure, & of course eat carrots!! Aww, Brad that was an Oak Tree Shilling you broke, LOL Great hunt as always. Go back to the island sometime. The Fall foliage was spectacular. Thanks for sharing- from Kentucky!
Haha don't say that!!
that sleek silver coin is just a piece of silver as you found it. The weight remains the same lol . Great video. I noticed how different music you use is still easily recognizable as yours. Maybe over the winter you can put up a video of your musical material for us to enjoy. ATB & HH
Haha good point! All the music I've written for the videos is available to listen to at www.GMMD.us!
Great video Brad, love your cinematography. Sorry about the coin, I've done the same on a few relics when cleaning them. Until next time HH&GL *Chris*
Thanks so much Chris, I guess it’s bound to happen once in a while!
Thats AWSOME on the unidentified silver!
$$$
Bless you- tky for the adventure.
Maybe the adornment was part of a lock cover...? Where it broke looks like a skeleton key hole. Another great video. You never disappoint. Great finds
I bet you're right Jen, thanks!
Quality work sir and yes my eyes this time a year are a wreck. My wife wont let me drive when dusk comes around. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for getting the red/orange leaves in some of the shots. I miss that so much. Autumn is not the same here in Florida lol
My pleasure! There's more on the way, this was filmed a month ago and the colors now are vibrant!
A bulls eye Rosette and a downpour to finish the day! Too bad the silver piece broke on you. Thanks for sharing as always and HH
Excellent discoveries. A lot of history in your finds. I like that you kept the casing in memory of your father and grandfather hunting in that area, bravo. Always a great video and commentary. Thanks for sharing and I hope you kill it on your next treasure hunt.
Thanks again Jay, till next time!

Great vid brad and enjoyed the hunt. Some fantastic coins and relics. Would love to find a MA state coin. Shout out to Eddie 👍👍👍
That brass piece looks like a key hole escutcheon. Another awesome vid. Hh
I think you're right Drew!
great job again. Cool finds, that silver coin looked fragile......happens no matter how careful you are.
Thanks so much!
Great hunt and a nice Mass. copper!
This weekend's storm should knock the rest of the leaves down.
Thanks! It can take the leaves as long as it doesn't leave any snow!
Haha I think perhaps bigfoot himself is just blurry
Great silver (oops!) & Mass coins!!!! Always enjoy your adventures and always enjoy seeing early colonial. Your rosette reminds me of the Civil War era bulls-eye rosette used by the Union artillery but I believe yours is a civilian style. Great hunt! Best wishes.
Thanks Brian, I've found civil war relics here in the past likely brought home by a Vet, you never know!
Great hunt and thank you as always for your time making this video. I dont think you would have ever got an ID on the silver anyway. No big deal.....Todd from Virginia.
Thanks Todd, I spent a long time staring at it at home and still no ID. Makes me feel a bit better about breaking it!

Thanks a lot! I don’t believe I was on a live stream with Gone Diggin, but I’ll have to check him out!

Ah yes, DK with Adventures in Dirt! Glad you tuned in!
Yes yes, it was DK.
All at a high level, well done! Good luck!
Great vid . . . always looking forward to your uploads . . . it's almost Halloween . . . things get creepy . . . especially out alone in the woods . . . maybe the lead you found was backing from the bridal rosette possibly . . . hope you can bring us plenty more excitement before the snow flies ! Enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing your hunt. Take care.
Glad to hear it, thanks!
Awesome finds! Yes the silver coin was really thin. It still is a cool find. You had a great day!
Thanks Jan, at least I got it on film in one piece haha!
Great finds congrats on that MA state Copper hope it cleaned up well.
Thanks a lot!
Great video, you guys go on some great adventures, I have enjoyed every one
I switched from tenny-boppers to steel plate jump boots after I stepped on a 3 1/2" Honey Locust thorn. Like a caltrop, it went through the sole of the shoe and luckily, between two toes. A fraction of an inch either way would have nailed me in a most uncomfortable way. Congrats on the Mass. coppa, Brad. Hope it cleans up pretty.
Whoa that's a close call, glad to hear it was just a near-miss! Thanks for watching!
That was a great hunt. Nice finds good times an Its all good, I think that silver piece was something worn like jewelry or fancy house housing, to thin to be coinage

great video always a pleasure to watch very well done going to get off my but and find my own treasures thanks
Thanks Michael, good luck out there!

Oops! Well, hey, now u have 2 silvers today 😉 Very cool rosette...the fancy piece is intriguing....really wondering what it is!!!
Hahaha well that's certainly one way of looking at it
Great recap of a site! Congrats on the Massachusetts copper!
Thank you!!
I just want to say your editing is superb. Keep up the great work. That coin looks aluminum. Cheers from Canada.
Thanks David!
That hi-hat was a very cool way to open this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice Massachusetts copper! That "was" one weird silver coin. Don't be too hard on yourself for breaking it the rest of the way thru. Now if that was the gold coin from THB that Brad broke, then seeing you weep like a baby would be expected. I know I would.
thanks for sharing brad always interesting and your normally great finds
Thanks for watching Philip!
Awesome Silver & a Massachusetts state coin, Cool finds, Nice Hunt
Do you have a room in your house showing off your finds? I would like to see how you display them. Keep up the good work. I am in Maine near Sugarloaf Ski area.
Good job GM, don't fret the broken coin..it was already severely damaged...hey I'm in Michigan let's go digging sometime!
Thanks Tom! Michigan's quite a hike but sounds like an adventure!
Green Mountain Metal Detecting I could head East also!
Perhaps its a silver love token Brad? An old silver coin polished blank and given to a sweetheart. Get them in the UK, generally bent into a soft S shape.
That could be! Thanks Rick!
Thanks for the suggestions, that could be!
Great episode Brad, gutted you broke it, I suppose it would be worse if you knew what it was, really enjoyed
Thanks again!
Thanks Brad great finds awesome video.
Thanks for watching Ronnie!
OH look! Highly collectable sawed silver. LOL. Always enjoy your videos.
Haha!
Nice finds for not being out very long congrats.
You live in some BEAUTIFUL country! I live in the DAMN DESERT and I will die here... Your video's are always very interesting!!! 👍🇺🇸 G.J. Phx. Az.
@NPC One of my FAVORITE moves! "How the hell are you Doc? Wyatt I am rolling..." "Sheriff have you met Doc? Piss on you Wyatt!" 👍🔫🍺👏👏👏
@NPC" Why Johnny Ringo. You look like someone just walked over your grave..." " Alright lunger let's do it." "Say when..." 🔫🍺👍
So sorry about the silver piece. It was cracked too begin with. Congrats on the state mass coin and buckle piece. Nice buttons are always fun too find. HH!
I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Great video, love the scenery!
Thanks Jimmy, glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Great video again!!! Love the finds!
Thanks Bryan!
Be careful Brad! Wear orange and whistle like a drunken sailor so a hunter won't mistake you.
Klasse Video 👍👍weiter so Kollege echt Klasse macht Laune zuzuschauen 👍🙋♂️

More likely a NE Shilling, Brad! :-)
😭
10:12 is half of a lock trim from a desk or cabinet. You can see the top of the keyhole near your thumb. Round hole with a rectangle off of it for the keyway.
Great video again dude, I was guessing the silver was a fake made from compressed foil but I guess I’m wrong lol , 👍🌴
Haha thanks, I sure hope so!
Make two pendants and give one to your wife(the smaller piece)! Awwwww...I'm quite the romantic, before my first pot of coffee.
Haha She always declines the jewelry I find in the ground due to the possibility of them being "haunted", I'm afraid this one will also reside in my display case!
as always love your hunts man don't beat yourself up over the coin happens alot
Thanks Mark!
Another great video, I look forward to Fridays!
Thanks Roger!
Great finds as always.
Thanks John!
Thank you. That was an "Eggcellent Adventure".
Keep on people...
IH MAN LOVELY FINDS, SO HAPPY FOR YOU, DO WISH U'D TAKE SOMEONE TO HELP YOU SEE, BUT BUGGER, THEN YOU HAVE TO SHARE.😂 TAKE ME AGAIN IN THE AUTUMN, LOVE ALL OF THOSE WOODS, LOVE TO SEE THEIR COLOURED CLOTHES.

Was it silver? Great hunt as always.
It is!
BWBS!!! Brad's Who Break Stuff! I don't feel as lonely now.
Haha BWBS, T-shirt opportunity?
The round shiny thing is alien tech for sure!
Brad, I have a question in regards to the stone walls, I understand the use of stacked stone for the basements & foundations, did the people back then put stone walls around there property to mark boundries or ? Thanks for your time in answering my question.
Here's a good reference, Michael: www.primaryresearch.org/stonewalls/schweizer/
Awesome finds
Where there railroads in that area? We find a lot of smashed coins that folks (mainly kids probably) would place on the railroad tracks. That silver piece could gave been such a coin. Just a guess...
Too high in the mountains for any tracks, but I like the guess!
Well around where I play. That unidentified coin looking thing. Would be an electrical knock out. Haha not much chance of that where you are.
I wouldn't beat myself up too bad Brad, that coin had its mind made up to break.
Thanks for that!
love your vids. keep up the good work thank you
Thank YOU Mark!
the unidentified silver looks thin enough to be an old hammered silver coin , like those struck in the late 1600's
Ain’t it strange... it seems like we just got started , and suddenly it’s fall with winter coming on strong. Time sure flies.
So strange, this has been the shortest season in recent memory!
Thanks for another wonderful video. That silver round, is it possible its Jewelry? possibly sterling and not coin silver? it is holed, so it could have been a necklace or earring. Just a thought, and HH
Thanks for the suggestion Ian, that could be!
I wonder if that silver coin has been flattened to make something else, probably not but just a thought. I'd love to see the MA copper cleaned up.
Thanks for the suggestion Eric, that could be! The MA Copper didn't clean up much which is why I didn't take a photo of it after, but still happy to ID it!
Great video! Get home and get warm!
Thanks Tracy!
Hey don’t worry about the broken coin... shhhhh it happens!
What a nice video with a moist end :)
