I love the way Rocky is built. That's what we used to call an "Oklahoma back" with the very flat, square looking longisimuss (sp? and I think that's the right name, but my anatomy books are in a different house) into the upper part of the glutes. Traditionally they were dogs with power -- can deal with traffic, mud, short turnaround between starts -- and still come home safe. Interestingly Oklahoman (1946) was not a dog with an Oklahoma back, though he was a durable character and a huge winner.
Ability more experiance in cooper and he will be a great chaser.. great win jack really dug deep in that race. Do you only train dogs. Are bitches not your thing. Just curious i love you videos and greyhounds thank you and great work keep it up. You make the industry look awesome. How you show the behind scenes of the sport. Thank you legend
Thankyou for your kind words really appreciated. I’m not over keen on keeping bitches due to the fact it’s a bit of a nightmare having a small kennel when they come in season. But saying that, it looks like i will have one in the kennel in the next few weeks 🤦
Whoever gets to adopt Jack will be unbelievably lucky. He is such a remarkable athlete. Adam, sorry if this is a silly question, but is this a full time job for you or do you do it part time? I hear of kennels with 50 dogs. What is the norm?
I think Jack might be staying with us when he retires, having a small kennel you bond with them and they are more like pets. I know of trainers who have 50 plus dogs in their kennels, employ lots of staff to assist. That many dogs are not for me, I like to know may dogs as they all have their own personalities. Greyhounds are my hobby I also have a small window installation company that helps me free up time to care for the dogs. Thankyou for watching it’s really appreciated 👍
Great win for Jack. Cracking dog. Good luck with the pup.
