If it makes anyone feel any better, which it probably doesn't. In the novelization of ROTS by Matthew Stover, Anakin Force chokes and breaks the necks of the Younglings that were hiding in the Council chambers. He didn't kill them with his lightsaber. He instinctively ignited it because Younglings do carry lightsabers too, not that they would be a dueling threat to him. As horrific as it was killing kids, Anakin wanted to give them as quick and painless death as possible, and being slashed or impaled by a lightsaber can be painful and a longer death
