The Bahamas can build from here. But what the Bahamas needs is non-NBA/NCAA depth, because to build the program you need to really do well in the Americup and other qualifiers. Thats how you get reps and better chances to the olympics. Those qualifiers are during NBA and NCAA season. Being so small makes the margin for error even slimmer. Demarco is building up that database of players so he's doing it the right way.

If you watch FIBA games, you'd even notice many coaches are speaking to the players in English, because they arent native speakers of the local language. These countries have huge pools, millions of people and still hired foreign coaches. Why? Very few people in the world have tons of experience coaching top level professional basketball year round. Demarco came up through a Warriors organization as a video lead, scout, player development lead and now asst. coach and have coached against some of the players in FIBA. If that experience isnt valuable I dont know what is.
