Lipsi 2023 - A video tour to music.

A short video compilation to music showcasing the beautiful Greek island of Lipsi. A perfect getaway for those seeking somewhere off the tourist trail, somewhere, quiet, beautiful, relaxing, with great beaches, great food and really friendly people.

There aren't any large hotels on Lipsi, most places are apartments you usually book yourself from the owners web site. We stayed at Angela's Apartments: lipsiangela.eu
Car Hire, scooter hire and even electric pedal cycles are available on the island, we used George: motorentlipsi.gr/en/
For the less adventurous there is a taxi service which will take you to most places on the island for a maximum charge of 7 Euros.
There is also a daily bus service (new Mercedes, air conditioned maxi bus) for about 4 Euros - details on stops, times and costs are available from the local tourist information.
Restaurants - there are about 8 restaurants on the island and we ate at all of them. The food is good quality, the sea food is fresh from the sea that day and portions are on the large side. We found a Greek salad as a starter and a main course each was plenty.
Cost for an evening meal for 2 people with wine is between 32 - 38 Euros.
Most apartments have basic cooking facilities, so for those on a budget dining at your apartment is a possibility. There are 2 small supermarkets on the island where all the basics can be bought and prices are cheaper than the UK.
If you decide to do some walking on Lipsi be aware that it isn't a 'flat' island by any means and there are plenty of steep slopes and steps to negotiate once you leave the main sea front area. So it maybe isn't the best destination for those that have mobility problems.
To get to Lipsi most travellers will fly into the island of Kos and get the ferry to Lipsi. A taxi from Kos airport to the ferry terminal will cost around euro 40 and take 30 minutes.
There is only 1 ferry/day, it takes 2 hours to get to Lipsi and makes 2 stops on the way, 1 at Kalimnos and another at Leros. The ferry is a modern, air conditioned catamaran with large, comfy seats.
There are plenty of hotels and restaurants for a stop-over in Kos town should your flight arrive after the daily ferry has departed. We stayed at the hotel Avanti: www.avantirestaurant.gr
