This is such a helpful video! I was a nursing student that graduated in the “Class of COVID”, so my hands on experience was cut short. IV tubing and equipment is very daunting to me because of this, so I wish I saw this before I started my job so I didn’t feel some incompetent 😂 but now I actually understand it all, and I think it will make it easier to absorb everything else I’m learning ☺️
This is an amazing video, I wish I would have found it a long time ago! I'm always learning new things in nursing. Thank you so much for this content!!!!
thank you so much . I am reviewing for NCLEX exam and some of these these I never encountered in nursing school that's why I am having a hard time to understand.
Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if a standard IV spike could be used with glass bottle butyl injection ports. You showed at 3:36 that it can indeed be done. Thanks!
Why are my Fluids running so fast? I just primed the line and it's just running not dripping. No slider clamp on my line just the roller. How do I slow it down? I'm afraid to unclamp now. This one says 20 drops/ml the other one 15drops/ml. Why doesn't it just go in drops? Did I do something wrong? I actually just put a new 15drops/ml on and it ran the same fast.
@@PainH8er I have a liter BBRAUN Ri-Lac bag. The Vetrivex bag didn't run this fast even with the clamp open. It freaked me out so I came here to see if I'm doing something wrong. I ended up controlling it with the slider clamp but then I wonder why it didn't do this on the Vetrivex bag. Same line. Just new of course.
NR. Omar What? It depends on what brand of tubing you use. Here is a brand that is 10 drops per mL: www.chewy.com/solution-set-y-injection-76-in-10/dp/183935?Solution%20Set&gclid=Cj0KCQiAgebwBRDnARIsAE3eZjQE4M66LDBtFFhMta00-6M3SYWDMrcF7vyuYkzumTAg-AC3p1dMgjoaAvhoEALw_wcB
That was outstanding! So clear. I understood the micro vs. macro within 20 seconds. Your explanation
is so much better than the textbook. Thank you!
Thank you!!!
I want to thank you very much for this video. It is very difficult to find videos on this specifically and I really appreciate it

This was very helpful and pretty easy to understand, though not gonna lie I’m not learning to be a nurse or a doctor

My guess is you either have a really big IV, or your line is disconnected somewhere

I am not so sure about using a needle to allow venting in glass container, is it a non contamination practice¿
I have never seen it done in any other way. Is there another way that you know how to do it?
