I only stalled my first car twice because it was very forgiving, it really depends on your luck with the 1st car you get.

Anna honestly don’t worry about stalling, it happens to everyone after they first pass with their new car but I SWEAR TO YOU THE BEST TIP IS A P PLATE!!! everyone is soooo much nicer when they see the P plate!!! And they help you out as much as they can, well they have here anyway but honestly it’s better to honest and safe 💕

Luke Alexander if you learn with a manual it’s a lot easier, I’m learning with a manual and I’ve driven an automatic, prefer it but manual makes me feel better about myself that I can actually drive it lol, ive been doing lessons since May and I’ve only stalled 3 times in that time, at a busy roundabout and lights but yeah manual is hard a f
Manual is difficult for sure lol and requires lot and lots of practice. I passed on a manual but I hated it so much I bought an automatic when I got my license

Why is atticus so cute 😭😭😭. Ana I loved this drive with me very chatty and fun!! Top tip for not stalling just take your time and don't rush it, get the bite point and then release the handbrake then slowly take your foot off the clutch while giving it a bit more acceleration to change into 2nd gear :) a P plate will also help so it let's other road users that you are new to the road and they will respect you more!!! :) I hope you get to see this comment!! I love watching your videos so much xxx

The editing of this was so good but funny, with your stall counts. I’m so happy for you Ana. You will get used to your car after first week, my sister was the same she must have stalled so many times on the first week, she put pass plates on because it made her feel more calm as people would understand and be more aware💕
it really takes sooo much time to adjust to a petrol car. when I kept failing my tests in my instructors car I decided to drive my own car with my dad, and i'm honestly so happy I did that. I properly learnt how to drive a manual, and even though it took some time, it helped me pass my test when I did it in my own car and I feel way more confident driving on my own and having control of the car!
The stall count was absolutely hilarious 😂 I just passed my test like a week ago now, and I’m dreading the first time I actually go alone 😂

Stalling is the worst, I always stalled with me first instructor, and he literally used to shout and tell me to stop stalling but never told me how. Thankfully I changed instructors and he told me why I was stalling and how to avoid it. I passed a year ago and still am afraid of motorways 😭
Don’t worry about stalling. Everyone makes mistakes. My mum has been driving for 20 years and still stalls

I know exactly how you feel about getting used to a petrol car. I learned in a diesel too and I struggled when I went out for the first time, but now I’ve been driving for 3 years it gets way easier trust me. The more you drive the easier it gets. ❤️❤️
Passing your test and getting a car is honestly the best feeling in the world! I've been driving 5 years now and it feels like yesterday I passed, goes so fast! You'll soon pick it up and will soon stop stalling, you just need to put a bit more gas on when you get the biting point 😁😘

I recently passed my test too and I used to stall all the time, my tip would be just to add a load of revs on when you get to the biting point of the clutch. Diesel cars are harder to stall because you can drive easy on the clutch but you can’t with a petrol x
I was such a confident driver until I passed my test and got my own car and now i’m so anxious and the thought of stalling makes my heart drop 😂

I also learnt in a diesel and went straight to driving a petrol mini, my best advice would be to take your time, don't rush... find the bite/heavy point on your clutch and just REV IT, even if you feel like you are over revving it... don't be too scared to really put your foot down on your gas pedal. You'll get it eventually!! 🌸🌸🌸🌸

hey anna, just a quick tip - i also had trouble with stalling my car as i went from a diesel to a petrol too so my grandad was teaching me how to pull off in my car and he told me to keep the music off so i could hear the engine revving when pulling away. when you put a bit of accelerator on you can hear it in the engine and he told me to do that until i was confident pulling away. it really helped me as i knew when i was doing it right bc i could hear my engine. idk if you do this already but i just thought i’d let you know as it helped me loads. well done for passing!!!
Ive been driving my car since March and im still stalling it sometimes! It wont damage your car too much, the more you drive the less you’ll stall. Dont be afraid to rag it either so you dont stall, thats what first cars are all about x

I learnt in a diesel too and now have a petrol car but honestly once you get used to the different clutch it’s fine! Eventually you’ll forget what the diesel clutch is like and you’ll be grand with the petrol one ☺️
