I've posted this on a handful of "MHA ending is bad" videos because I really feel the original ending is just SO bad that it destroys the manga... so this is how I would fix MHA's ending: (first off, the final battle occurs at the end of their third year, so therefore they are now Class 3A, and a whole lot of exposition and character development has occurred beyond the original rushed single year timeline) 1. Class 3A AND an assortment of pro heroes AND a handful of converted former villains arrive at the Deku-Shigaraki fight just as Deku passes out from gear shift. The mob of heroes and converted villains collaborate to fend off Shigaraki as Deku lies unconscious. 2. Simultaneously, All Might and OFA are locked in their "final" battle. In this universe, Eri was able to reverse All Might's previous injuries which allows him to recover very weak flames of OFA (we get a final encore of All Might from the early days) 3. All Might and OFA basically fight to the death; something like "Toddler OFA" and last-gasp All Might land simultaneous mortal blows. All Might and AFO die in each other's arms (All Might holding and infant OFA). 4. Passed-out Deku is "recovering" in the previous user's realm when All Might's form flashes into golden flames before fading away and revealing the full All Might visage. Deku and the previous users immediately recognize that this means he has died. 5. Shigaraki has mowed through the majority of the heroes / former villains at this point, and Deku awakens in an inconsolable rage. 6. As Deku hurls himself at Shigaraki, we learn that Shigaraki has stolen a handful of Deku's classmate's and previous villian's quirks. Shigaraki uses hyped-up versions of Explosion, Fire/Ice, Tape, Frog, Grape, Creati, muscles, Acid, Hardening, etc.. quirks against Deku as the obviously-unwilling and grievously-injured 'donors' from class 1-A and others watch on from the sidelines. 7. Huge beautifully rendered fight occurs, Deku is aided by the few remaining heroes/converted villians but is mostly outmaneuvered by shigaraki. He sees glimpses of Shigaraki cracking due to the sheer number of quirks and Shigaraki's own mental instability (more childish outbursts revealing a surviving inner Tenko). 8. Shigaraki's instability puts him into an emotional rage and Deku really starts to lose. 9. Spirit realm heroes in OFA hatch the plan to transfer themselves to try to separate Shigaraki's inner child / Tenko from the effects of AFO 10. Dual-realm fight scene ensues as Deku holds off Shigaraki in the real world while the former users are transferred and begin a "spirit realm battle" against AFO who has imprisoned a scared Tenko 11. A particularly hard hit causes both Deku and Shigaraki to temporarily black out. All Might's visage is the only one remaining and Deku pleads to not transfer him. All Might convinces him and they share a final goodbye 12. Deku and Shigaraki regain consciousness, Deku's rage is gone and is now replaced with a mournful determination. 13. All Might is transferred and turns the tide of the spirit-realm fight agains AFO. Deku is on embers of OFA 14. The battle(s) continue until Shigaraki is about to kill Deku; in the spirit realm, Tenko is finally freed from AFO by none other than Nana! She consoles the crying child as only a true grandmother could. 15. This release causes a rift within Shigaraki and he misses Deku with his final blow. Deku (also attempting a last-ditch final attack) lands an earth-shattering punch with all that's left of OFA. 16. The fight ends and silence follows as both fall to their knees, Shigaraki has regained mental stablity (still childish, but it is clear that it is Tenko now). The finger / hand / monstrosity begins to "decay" into dust and blows away in the wind. 17. In the spiritual realm within Shigaraki, Tenko (surrounded by the previous users) admonishes a clearly defeated OFA. AFO pleads for Tenko to continue to fight and reaches out to him. To the former user's horror, Tenko reaches out to take AFO's hand, but delivers the killing blow by initiating decay as he declares he doesn't want anyone to feel afraid and lonely anymore. 18. In the real world, as Shigaraki's bulk form continues to decay, Class 3A and the rest of the heroes / former villains surround Deku and Shigaraki. Shigaraki and Deku share parting words; Shigaraki thanks Deku, Deku apologizes for not being able to save him sooner. 19. As the decay reaches Shigaraki's body, he remarks on the former users being really nice people. Deku wipes a tear away from his eye and says he'll miss them. 20. In his last seconds, Shigaraki scratches his head with his only remaining arm (the other is already decaying away) and says one of the previous users gave him a message for Deku. 21. Page-size frame of Shigaraki holding out one of his hairs while saying "EAT THIS" and mimicking All Might's smile. 22. Tears stream from Deku's eyes as he takes the hair and Shigaraki fades into nothingness. The heroes have won, everyone stands around Deku in silence and utter exhaustion. Deku is kneeling, exhausted, as he can barely hold the weight of a single hair. 23. It is revealed in the epilogue that Shigaraki returned OFA as well as a 'clean' version of AFO. Accessing the "spirit realm", he is able to identify and return all of the stolen quirks. He is shocked to find a young version of himself wielding Shigaraki's decay quirk. When he reaches out to pat the younger version of himself on the head, the younger visage is absorbed into him and he feels a strange sense of closure. 24. Deku searches the "spirit realm" for All Might, but it is revealed that (since he didn't have a quirk to begin with) there is no All Might vestige remaining after the Shigaraki battle. 25. Deku comes to grips with truly losing his idol, mentor, and father figure. 26. Deku and the rest of his class go on to be successful pro heroes in a newly rebuilt society; Deku's overpowered hero strategy is based on saving the villains as opposed to simply defeating them; which turns the tide on how heroes vs villains are perceived by society. THE END ...there... fixed... In my own recollection of the series ending, I like to replace what was originally written with this basic framework... it's easier than acknowledging the ending we received. I hope it helps you too :)
For me honestly I would let deku keep ofa but not get the extra quirks back and he became the number 1 hero because deku broke his body over and over to master ofa just to lose it….. that was all a waste of time
@@DSOProd thats prob just to compensate the nerf that deku will get honestly i would make it so that deku would get nerfed and lost like 40% of his powers and the extra quirks, he basically still have the BASE 60% OFA tho this is where the suit compensate OFA lost 40% and his other lost quirks hes basically gonna be like all might for the first 8 years the iron man all might after he gets the suit 💀
Tbh my biggest issue w the ending is entirely dropping the plot about why such a massive army of villains arose in the first place, that being government corruption and persecution, combined with “the promise”, how are you gonna tell me Deku talk no jutsu’d a genocidal maniac who for most of his life desired nothing but the complete eradication of everyone and everything around him due to being manipulated by an evil mastermind since he was a child, Then have his love interest Ochaco actually change the world via her counseling program and being a hero as well. Deku was told by shiga the future depends on how the hero’s and him proceed to move in the future, meanwhile Deku continues being miserable in a position he himself admits is for a very small amount of people due to less need of hero’s and it being competitive now. They could have easily fixed the ending by either A)he keeps his promise of being the best hero by spearheading help to those once persecuted and do something WITH ochaco which he is fully capable of due to previous feats B)he becomes the greatest hero in the world because he sacrifices himself, as in willing to take his own life, taking afo with him, and to reach shigaraki, ensuring the world lives on and his friends promise to make the world the best it can be
@@DSOProd I edited option b, I should have used better wording, but I was thinking another way way he keeps the title of “the greatest superhero” while being as much of a title as all might, would be he chooses to do what shimura did, and what Stars and Stripes (which proved to be pointless), and in turn finally defeating afo at the cost of his life, maybe telling his friends to live his dream beforehand, so his friends in the timeskip honor his wish by being the best at what they do
Right and that's fine. I respect he ended it, but it's fun to look at the good and bad of his execution. I was happy with how I ended my novel series, Collapse of the great collection, but it was still flawed.
I think being a teacher fits deku. Hes a nerd after all and loves quirks, loves analyzing them and thinking of new ways to use them. Very fitting for him to be able to help raise new heroes
Good video. Thankfully 431 perfectly addressed all the points in this video

They could have easily fixed the ending by either
A)he keeps his promise of being the best hero by spearheading help to those once persecuted and do something WITH ochaco which he is fully capable of due to previous feats
B)he becomes the greatest hero in the world because he sacrifices himself, as in willing to take his own life, taking afo with him, and to reach shigaraki, ensuring the world lives on and his friends promise to make the world the best it can be

appreciate you bro!

It being the ending Horikoshi wanted means nothing if that ending is *THIS* shit!
There's *NO* excuse for this!
Dude Deku is gonna need Mei for when his suit breaks.

How do you feel with the development of super suits at the end that will impact how they view quirks?
