    Wanna know something funny? Many of these names are unreadable even for the Japanese themselves, look at jujutsu kaisen, see those tiny characters in the logo? That's furigana or normal Japanese alphabet, that's there cause it uses symbols nobody knows these days and they gotta write it or nobody could even read it.

    • @amohamud5585

    • @markozhivkovich
      @markozhivkovich 3 месяца назад

      @antoninomartino1111 No, Japanese people can still understand kanjis without furigana on top of them, there's a lot of manga, light novels, books etc. that 99% of the time don't put furigana on top of the kanji characters.

    I'm the second guy. Also prefer subs though I'm getting lazier with age, watching dubs is like using spirit summons in Elden Ring, sometimes I can't be bothered to pay attention and focus on the show. Also prefering manga over anime which makes me the worst kind of elitist.
    This might be where I got it actually, most manga especially sourced magically from the internet comes with original name. Using english names is more anime maybe? Especially when english is not even my first language so might as well stick to japanese names.

    • @DownBadBois
      @DownBadBois  3 месяца назад +1

      Yea when it comes to watching anime I'm dub gang. Only anime I watch sub is one piece naruto

    • @TrueKivan
      @TrueKivan 3 месяца назад

      @@DownBadBois For me it depends on the setting, anything that takes place outside of Japan or in space, or medieval isekai is good dubbed, especially if it's newer more professional dub. Or if the show is especially flashy with high animation value the dub would help to focus more on the visuals. Dubs really improved over the years as they started off really insufferable lol.
      Space Dandy is 10x more funny in english, the original is more somber.

    calling attack on titan by it's real japanese name is valid imo, if you've watched the show you already know "attack titan" or "attacker titan", but I guess the whole point of the show's name was lost in localisation and they went with attack on titan.

    Tbf some shows warrant the Japanese name but most of the time, you should be calling them by the English title especially if you're not literally living in Japan. A large percentage of people won't know what you're talking about if you're using the Japanese titles.
