Congratulations Michelle! 🎉 I’m so excited for you!! The school is fortunate to have you. I will definitely be following you closely this summer as I am also teaching 4th grade Math and Science next year. After 16 years of teaching 5th grade, I felt a little change was needed to keep myself sharp. Still love 5th grade, but looking forward to my new adventures. I’m looking forward to watching your future videos.

I believe I know exactly that giddiness that you are feeling! I retired after teacher (mostly 3rd grade) for 25 years. I then came back to my same school to be a Title 1 paraprofessional for kindergarten within 6 months of my first retirement year. I hadn’t come up with the answer for what I wanted to try next after teaching and I really missed the atmosphere. After 4 years in that position, I started feeling discontent and had a strong desire to do more. Long story short, I was hired back into 3rd grade for the next 2 years since we have 2 large groups coming up that require another section. I feel like I get a second chance to do it all better than I ever did before and I couldn’t be more excited. This is what has led me to find your channel. I am soaking in every bit of helpful information that I can, and I find your content to be a goldmine of value! Here’s to the excitement of the return! Congratulations!

I am so excited that are paths are aligning so closely. When I finished college, about 4 years ago now, I was so excited to get into my first classroom. I had a great first year and then the second year went completely opposite. I lost my love and passion for teaching. I took last year off as I was going to be moving with my husband who is in the military. Now that we are finally settled, I decided to try teaching again! I feel like my school is such a great school so far and everyone seems so positive. Although I will be teaching a new grade level in a new state with my not so confident subject area, I’m actually really excited for the challenge. I can’t wait to rediscover the loving of teaching with you!

THAT is important. Not just eating right and working out. It’s important to not give your job too much of your life. Love your life hacks- so now you get everything done in school. We will be watching!! Good luck!

I am so excited for you and we have been on mostly parallel journies (although I am staying with the same agency I have been an assistant with for 7.5 years). My teaching interview was a blur and I didn't even ask how much I would be making (I did just get my letter of hire, and the salary was more than what the job description wass). While I know a lot of what the teacher does, I didn't have to do everything before. I was helping with lesson plans at the end of the year, so that helped, but there is so much more that I didn't do, but it will come. I am so happy that you got 4th grade math and science (math is my worst subject, and I student taught a brand new math series this past fall, from the beginning, mostly by myself. It helped that seasoned teachers were struggling with it, too). I am teaching preschool and have a great classroom aid (who I have worked with for almost 9 years), and I hope I get a good assistant. I do plan on visiting some of your older content to help me with more digital applications and to help prep and streamline my teaching. My aid and I were making plans for changes for the fall (our former boss was very stuck in her ways). I am excited, but trying not to get ahead of myself too much. I am with you on the sleep issues, too. I haven't slept well for a few weeks now, but being off for the summer is helping. At least I know what resources I have available and what to expect. You will do great! I can't wait to hear more. Oh, and I look forward to more meal ideas. I do meal plan, but I need fresh ideas!

I appreciate your honesty and transparency as you shared updates on your interview. For me, it makes you more relatable. When people put on, they do so with the intention of fooling others...like an imposter. Thanks for being just who you are and for wanting to equip other educators with the wonderful knowledge you've gained. I'm older, and close to retirement, but COVID changed teaching as we (veterens) knew it. Because I enjoy teaching so much, I'm always looking for ways to enhance my skills. Watching you has really made me realize how much I don't know. I'm up all night practicing so that I know it like the back of my hand. I still have a lot to learn, but I won't be defeated. Because of you, I'll go back to work feeling more successful and confident. Maybe I'll even be able to do the same for some of my fellow teachers.

Congratulations! About 10 years ago, I made a change to go back into the regular classroom. I had taught music for K through 12th grade for a season but found myself longing to be back in the elementary classroom. I had taught 2nd and 4th grade before and loved both grades. I've landed in older elementary and middle school science. 7 years ago, I moved to a new state and school. Your google classroom videos got me through the pandemic. Thank you for all you do to encourage teachers. You helped this "seasoned" (I'm 61) teacher add technology to her teaching toolbox. I encourage my students to love learning because there will always be something you don't know everything about. So I encourage you to keep on learning and teaching and growing and sharing your journey because it is very encouraging to those of us in the classroom. Praying for many blessings in this new assignment.

Congratulations!! I started watching your videos in 2017 and they were SO helpful!! I love that you’re using your products so we can really see how to apply them in teaching, it makes it so real and relatable. I can’t wait to see you thrive this year!! There will be ups and downs as you know. But When things get tough, don’t worry because you have a whole community of teachers supporting you and probably in the same boat. ❤🎉

Congratulations on the new teaching position! I am so excited for you and that you are returning to the classroom! I would love for the video on setting up the teacher planner! I just got the iPad Pro and plan to go digital next year with your digital planner. I'll be looking for it. 😀❤

I did realise how much I needed to hear/see this. I recently lost my teaching position so currently looking for jobs which is hard but this had really made me feel positive and to embrace the change that is coming my way

Congratulations, young woman! I'm so glad they were smart and hired you. I hope they will also make room for you to keep your PD platform skills up as well, after you get your feet wet and form community with the staff.

Congrats! This is wonderful news. It is a bit discouraging for me though because I taught in Las Vegas for 6 years and then moved to Washington State where I am from, but I had like several interviews for teaching and did not get selected and even applied and did not even get interviews. So, it is discouraging. UGH lol but I am super happy to see that you are going back to teaching! I loved all your teaching content!

I’ve been following you since I was a para and decided to go back to school (at age 40!) to become a teacher. I just got my first teaching job last year as a 6-8th grade reading teacher. I’m so excited you are teaching again as I need the motivation going into year two.

Congratulations! OMG I too teach in Texas, my name is Michelle and I just got a 4th grade math position! I’m transitioning from teaching middle school math for 23 years and I’m so excited. Thanks so much for your questions to ask idea; I’ve been binge watching so many elementary teacher channels for ideas. I’ve also watched several of your technology videos that were very helpful. Again, congratulations and best wishes for the upcoming school year.
