@@Lovelylittlemmie You Americans believe that in Italy they only eat spaghetti and pizza! but you can't imagine the amount of culinary recipes that exist in Italy, here cooking is like a religion, if you talk to some American who lives or has lived in Italy he will tell you that Italian cuisine is the best in the world, if one day you I should visit Italy, organized for lunch not eating in tourist restaurants, but in traditional ones. and if you want to eat the real pizza, eat it in the city of naples, at the pizzeria "da michele" at corso umberto, it is one of the few pizzerias where you can still eat the real Neapolitan pizza, today the pizzas are not as good as they used to be because so many pizzerias to save money they use foreign flours that they immediately mount, but, they make pizza a soft and heavy thing to digest, and try spaghetti with clams in white, and / or Genoese if they make it, and you will eat something you have not eaten in your life and you will remember it for life ..
Italy is MUCH safer than the US by any measurable parameter (aside from car thefts). So, if you feel confident being alone in the US, you should have no issue with Italy.
As italian I always feel so proud when some of the people I follow and admire come to Italy; it makes me see my country from another perspective .I'm an art student too and sometimes I feel like Art and nature are the last good things here; this is my home but I know if I want to follow my passion I'll may have to leave it in the future... if anyone is planning a trip to Italy, I'd recommend the small island of Ischia off the gulf of naples. Go to the botanical gardens, the castle, and the thermal springs look for the place called Poseidon. Its a great place to go if you're \spending less than a week. I wouldn't recommend naples bc its not super chill and relaxing, nor would i choose procida (unless you're looking for something more fast-paced with more tourists.

For example, I would recommend a tour of Tuscany, but every city has its own strengths!

You made me wanna visit Rome again. I love that city, been there for 3 times in the past years, and the next time think I will try to go visit it alone, you're such an inspiration, thank you. Italy is such a great country, I visit it every chance I get, can't get over it even if I wanted to. Thanks for sharing your experience in that extraordinary country. Everyone should visit it at least once in their life.

wow, this is easily my new favorite travel vlog on youtube. 20+ minutes and almost all of it is beautiful b-roll footage, no unnecessary plane or hotel footage, no useless chit-chat, minimal editing, mellow music, delicious food shots, no dramatic filters, no flaunting or humblebragging, no vanity shots or spending half the video staring at yourself in the viewfinder. simply explaining what you are doing/where you are going and letting us enjoy the view. it's perfect. i can't wait to watch part 2.
Ok u don't understand how much of a comfort vid this has become to me over the years. The sights, the sketches (the GELATO) all makes we wanna go there :'(
I’m italian but once in a while I wish I could understand how foreigners feel when coming to my country. I take the food, architecture and the people for granted that I don’t know how someone coming to Italy for the first time might feel.
lostintimeline You see, I’m from the US, and the problem with that comparison is that we don’t have as much beautiful architecture or art. We do have some, but for the most part the beauty in places like Italy( enduring, classical beauty) was replaced in the US by modern concepts of beauty that( at least architecturally speaking) are quite ugly after the initial “honeymoon” stage. Most of our buildings are ugly, sad, concrete, glass and metal monstrosities that’s end up torn down a few decades after they are made, in countries where classical beauty was the norm, the buildings are not only beautiful, but they are sustainable, long lasting, and beautiful centuries after they are made. The US is fun, we’re fun people lol, but I don’t think it’s the same experience. Our cuisine is also not as elegant and we don’t have as rich a culture as most countries either. Our lifestyle is also extremely quick paced. We are always rushing, always running from one place to the other. The day is made up of things to get done, and slowing down to enjoy anything leaves you feeling almost guilty. Our country runs on human machines, it’s main attraction( I think) is consumerism, not really culture, not art, not architecture. I traveled abroad once, and that’s when I realized that we aren’t as great as we think we are.

I think this is why you read so much about tourists getting attacked on holiday. We all know no go areas, and people need to be more careful and learn from locals these things.
Si, infatti... per colpa della criminalità IMPORTATA
Your videos make me feel genuinely at peace. I wish you the best!! ❤️
