Aliex, that was my 1st kayak. 4 yrs ago, it was $400.00. I spent my 1st season, on a small freshwater lake. I adventually added a $100.00 Minnkota trolling motor. It was cool to learn the basics. I have seen the Perception 120 PDL, Sportsman 106 powered by Minnkota, and the Hydride, 110 HDII PDL. But those kayaks are sold in two days. And I have that air- horn, and that bilge pump, I never leave without it. In case of an emergency. Awesome little vid bro. 💯 🎣 🌊

i bought the sundolphin journey 10ss as my first kayak back in 2017 for $250. it was the only sit inside available at my local walmart at that time of the year, and it's honestly both horrible and surprisingly good at the same time. after getting a vibe seaghost 110, there were two things i learned to really appreciate about the sundolphin; it was light weight, and shockingly fast in the water... WHEN you were spending every ounce of concentration trying to keep it going straight.
the biggest problem with the journey 10ss im pretty sure are the two boxy "chime" things in the back of the hull on both sides, and they just absolutely ruin the flow of the water under the kayak, and actually catch more water on the side that is being leaned on, forcing the kayak to turn more and more in a kind of positive feedback loop, so it has absolutely garbage tracking. if it didnt have those chimes on the hull, i feel like it would go from a 3/10 experience to a 6/10, and honestly i dont hate sundolphins that dont have those things sticking out the bottom of them.
