It is a shame you missed the SP 2472 (Pacific). They were sharing the line with the Niles Canyon Railway. That club has moved on. Many years ago, the Niles Canyon Railway was at Richmond near the bridge. They have a Shay that I got to drive once before the move to Niles. I have never forgotten their generosity. Thank you NCRR !!

Enjoyed your video taken at one of my all time favorite sites, Pinole. I also like gathering pixels in Hercules at the end of John Muir Parkway.

I just stumbled on this and your Folsom & Sacramento video. Fun stuff! FYI, the Niles Canyon track was part of the original transcontinental railroad's extension from Sacramento to Oakland.
Have you checked out the Western Railway Museum? It focuses on inter-urban trains, and it's located on Hwy 12 about midway between Fairfield/Suisun City and Rio Vista. Unfortunately, we all must wait until post-covid to visit again.
However, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park up in Jamestown seems to be open. They have some famous TV and movie trains, an operating turntable with working roundhouse, and a famous water tower.

I have another angle of that same shot. It's pretty cool in the dark. I wish that had a few light poles right around there though.

Those fishermen on the railway tracks gave me so much anxiety. I think they were fishermen, it’s hard to tell from that distance.

Epic, epic photography!!!! Why are you wearing masks outside? Is that CA required? Virus doesnt transmit by air. Has to be ingested. Kudos on this, just perfect👍👍👍😎😎😎
