Yeah someone did yell "Okay shut up!" around the end there.
If you ever wondered what Tegan and Sara are talking about when they mention those 'certain people' in the audience that are like "Okay seriously, get on with the show." This is a prime example.
Some just go for the music, I suppose, but I'll never really understand why people would do this to the artists who they paid to see live. To see doing what they do and being who they are. If you want to hear just their music, get a damn CD!
I took nine years of french, and it's still not enough!

(As a native French speaker) I feel the sudden urge to buy VIP tickets to a T&S show if only to speak to Sara in French...
sometimes it scares me how similar Sara and I am.

duuude, did someone in the crowd yell, "okay shut up!"? or am i just hearing things? i thought this video was going to explain why she hasn't been talking much just...in general. but i feel her pain, it's hard learning a new language.

for Latin languages the hard part is conjugating. For English, there's not as many set in stone rules; you pick it up as you listen to english speakers from different places/cities. often english people say things incorrectly and think you're weird/nerdy for using perfect grammar. For mandarin, writing is more structural (ex. The character for sun is derived from what the sun looks like), and way fewer conjugations (no feminine nor masculine, no past tense conjugation-> use words like yesterday)
I think that it's not just Sara :"D Usually people who speak english are quite bad with other languages. Expecially french and other "latin" languages, like spanish or italian 'cause they're really hard and English is so simple.

I can totally relate to Sara :) I've been learning french or 8 years and I moved to Montreal 2 years ago and I still bow when Idk what to say like, French kid: TABARNAK!! Me: *bow* merci beucoup,toi aussi

I don't think they said Okay Shut Up. They probably said something in French, though I wouldn't know since I also have "A learning disability" lol
The problem is that the American educational system doesn't value other languages. They don't make us take them, they don't care if we excel, because they don't think we'll ever need them because America is run by crazy nationalists.

Still, there is some people that DO yell at them. Of course I'd jump on the worst conclusion! I stand corrected.
@XBeyongirlX Oh no problem. It's alright. I made a mistake and I've acknowledged it! :) I just get a little defensive thinking about them being scrutinized at their own show. No worries though!

haha, I do a lot of bowing, smiling, & the earphone thing too... except there's no language barrier for me. I just pretend I don't speak English.

@KalB971 as a native speaker of English, who has studied French and Japanese, dabbled in mandarin and has many friends studying/able to speak a large number of other languages, I would disagree. Japanese was very easy. I found it to be a very mathematical and logical language (I think it should be the world second language as opposed to English). As someone who always questioned the grammatical structure of English growing up, I am yet to encounter a language that makes as little sense as it.

Yup, I'll agree with that, English is the easiest language I encountered so far and I've studied Spanish, Creole and Japanese, and I'm a native-french speaker. The construction is always the same and I think that's why it's so hard for an english-speaker to learn latin languages, because English is gramatically "weaker" I'd say, but in a good way ?
At 5:11 it's my girlfriend screaming :D:D She was so lucky to be there :D I just adore them and my GF too she's amazing :D
Nope :) I'm italian. And belive me if I say that Italian is so fuckin hard :D English is always the same. And the grammar is really simple.
lol... are you a native english speaker? because people who aren't and people who teach it say that english is actually quite difficult. ;)
