One of the best interviews of any kind ever. By a man who knows music, who knows the band and by one of the most creative musicians and creators in the history of music. A masterpiece. Thank you to all. Emilio and his guys have brought untold happiness to millions of people for many years. We who have been touched by him are forever grateful.

Have watched all 3 RUclips episodes. Best interview I’ve heard with Emilio. Maybe the best interview of this type ever.
    Thank you.

Best interview ever of a man who’s talent influenced my life when I was a young man. Back in the early 70’s If I had known what he was doing just a few miles west of where I lived I would have been at his door with my horn. Man, what a thrill it would be to stand in the middle of TOP when they were laying down that funk! Best story.......I walked into the Stanislaus County Fair back in the late 70’s and Unbeknownst to me, TOP was playing on the free stage! I found a seat and never left. Thank you Emilio for your candor.

Best interview I’ve ever heard with Emilio! I’ve learned so much about this band I’ve loved since around ‘72. Thanks!
It’s weird, I’ve never heard Emilio or anyone else in the band mention percussionist Brent Byars, who was only on the albums Bump City, Tower of Power and back to Oakland. Even Garibaldi’s amazing playing was actually enhanced by Brent’s tasteful contributions, and the two seemed to blend really well. I would LOVE to find out what happened to him!
