I think that was supposed to be downwind in the commentary. Great Show regardless. We are just starting on this kind of lifestyle so love all the footage and information. You are an inspiration.
Wow a sailing show that actually shows and explains sailing!!!!! Imagine that great job.. learned a lot from watching Tony rigging the boat. He is rigged right. I have never seen a big mono go that fast. BUT NO WHO WON THE SECOND LEG?? It looked like you got him. How can you tell wind speed from radar?
Love your videos. Many years ago I found you on Wealth TV, which my cable channel decided to charge for. So glad I came across you on RUclips. Brings back so many fond memories I have had with my Dad, who passed away in August at the age of 90. He took me on Windjammer Barefoot Cruises 77 -78, 95 - 2006 a total of 13 weeks and Dad sailed on them for a total of 33 weeks. Enjoy St. Lucia such a beautiful island. Wish I had sea legs right now~~!!~~ 😎
Really enjoy your videos my fellow Canadian friends! It is my dream to do something like that but I lack the skill, knowledge and boat! For now, I will live vicariously through you all! God's blessings to you.
Great video glad you had a safe and fun trip, I enjoyed all the information and it was very helpful while I do not think I am ready for a trip like that. Florida to the Bahamas would be enough for me right now since I do more day sailing and racing. Have a wonderful time in the islands.
Thanks for the four great videos crossing the Atlantic. I like your head sail set up - a genoa and jib on separate furlers. Gives you a lot of flexibility. I am currently setting up my 12m cruising cat for the Atlantic crossing next year and have been struggling with the best downwind sail setup. Currently I have a 120% genoa on a furler and a bowsprit (currently unused). What would you suggest? I have been toying with the idea of a simple bow rig (two jibs on the same furler), a code zero or similar on the bowsprit or an asymmetric/parasailor. But I am always drawn back to the simplicity of the Simbo rig or similar. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Well, one advantage of the long keep ship is that weed cannot hang up on it. Spade rudders have their disadvantages!!! 15 kt is pushing it a bit, my friend. Your ship will not thank you for it. Take it easy.
King and Queen of all Sailing Channels. Looks like an amazing experience to sail Across the Atlantic with them
I'm glad to see the challenges and how you faced them. This is so fascinating and inspirational. Thank you.
Wow! What an 11 days crossing! Amazing! Thanks for sharing with us!
This is my favorite sort of video, open ocean sailing with squalls and rough seas. Loved this video! Thanks!
Love your videos. I've lost a lot of sleep watching them. Fair winds.
Glad you're enjoying them! Sorry you're losing sleep ;-)

I enjoyed it this second time around, as much as the first!
😊😍❤️
I've heard that sliding a spinnaker sheet under the hull and king floss the bottom and rudder to het weed off
Great vid ya'll.
How do you decided how much (provisions) and what type of food you need for ocean crossing trips?
Please take me on your next voyage across the Atlantic!
Where did you leave from?
We started from Las Palmas and stopped over in Cabo Verde before this leg...
So from Africa to the Caribbean in 11 days . Incredible
Tony Petrozza Yes it was a very fast passage!
