Are you sure that's a Buschur SD? The muffler looks like the bullet style he sold for a limited period. The SD canister is smaller and welded differently.
Actually, you could be correct. I got this Buschur (catback portion)used from Andy at ASM and it was on his evo 9. I just knew is wasn't the Magnaflow muffler and the only other option i saw at available was the SD.

Agreed the HKS is the better sounding for daily. Have a friend with the Hi Power and sounds good. I got the Greddy TiC which is also brilliant (have a sound clip on my page). All in all though, we here can still be charged for loud exhaust and points added, so my silencer is back in.
When I had an Evo 8 way back in the day, it came with a Megan Racing catback. It was OK. Was never raspy but it had the same tone through the whole RPMs. Then I switched it to a Magnaflow catback and I really loved the throaty note and changed it's tone to just screaming in the higher RPMs.
i have had my evo ix since 06, tried different brands of exhaust through out the yrs. i have to say HKS carbon-ti sounds the best. smooth, low with deep tone.
I love my AMS full exhaust on my stock turbo with O2 dump, but once i upgraded to 6466 and AMS hot parts kit the wastegate was re circulated into the exhaust and it is now a more high pitched almost honda sounding.
You have a full race exhaust against a cat back sports. I mean it’s a good vid don’t get me wrong but I think I’ll be going a HKS silent as I’m in a built up area and I don’t want to piss the neighbours off too much with a obnoxiously loud exhaust. You still get high performance just less noise. Great vid though
i have a tanabe medallion on my 9 gsr. it's pretty quiet unless you goose the mivec and above then it gets pretty raspy. in normal driving its maybe like acura or infiniti quiet
I Have hks 272 cams that came with the car and I'm trying to decide on either gsc s1 or gsc s2 i have stock bottom end i have gsc zero tick lifters titanium retainers and seats upgraded springs gsc seals upgraded valves. Im running evo 9 turbo with fp manifold. And will go with the fp 71hta evo 9 super core and keep the 9 hotside and call it day. Just dont know what cams to get?

Hi is it true that you can launch these cars hard very often without braking them ? I was told the diff pulls it’s self out the rear subframe and snaps something. Didn’t expect you to launch both of them. Good video both sound pretty good
Is it true that the jdm bumper has different exhaust opening exit point? I have a Buschur exhaust, but it has a magnaflow muffler i think. Not sure if it came like that from Buschur or prev owner changed the muffler...

The Buschur exhaust does definitely sound like it has a slightly deeper tone to it and not as much rasp through the lower RPM range. Great comparison.

Ran the Buscher for a long time before finally upgrading to the Tomei. Hands down best sounding exhaust.

The HKS exhaust sounds so much better. That Buschur exhaust is just loud and takes all of the character and charm out of the 4G63.
Hks sounds so good. I’m a quite exhaust guy. I don’t like any attention from law enforcement

I got the hks hi power carbon and it's loud ASF! It's got no cat and a resonator. I just put a hks silencer in and it's got 02 dump down

Since you have the upgraded valve train, i'd go S2.

Buschur has a magnaflow muffler option. JDM bumpers exit at a different angle than USDM.
I got the hks hi power silent exhaust on my evo 8 with the resonator it's in between both ur exhaust but after 4krpm it's open up alot
