  • Mother tongue is vital in framing the thinking and emotions of people. Learning to speak in the mother tongue is very necessary for a child's comprehensive development. Being fluent in the mother tongue, which is also known as the native language, benefits the child in numerous ways.

This drama is showing about Ao mother tongue dialect. But let this be a lesson to all the tribes, not only in Nagaland but to every tribes from different places. Unless we learn it for ourselves, we cant never teach the next generation of what it is or what it means. Thank you Aoyimti Youth Ministry for the meaningful drama video. God bless you all.

Going through some comments seems like some people really missed the point here. The moral of the story is actually the importance of knowing your own mother tongue and not keeping a condition to marry someone on the basis of language. Being in a state where we have many tribes, clans, and subclans our culture, tradition, mother tongue, etc. becomes our identity and that's what makes us unique from the rest of the world. I belong to Ao community and we have two major languages, Mongsen and Chungli and it varies from village to village. I speak Mongsen but yet I'm still trying to learn Chungli because that is also a part of my identity. That's all it is. Peace out.

So much love ❤....🤗🤗😁being Konyak we face this challenge. We konyaks are so vast,we have 168 villages and counting, each village speaking different dialects except for some areas with some similarities in their dialects. This compels us to learn one common mother tongue which is very complex for this generation...😢

Right now i don't want to bombard him with marriage questions cuz he's going through lots. So please kindly help🙏

Nowadays I see people from village especially youngsters going to town's and when they coke back after some years they start speaking in nagamese saying they forgot their mother tongue which is a very shameful thing ... I'm soooo glad that they came up with this idea of making this short movie❤️ thank you ❤️

In my neighborhood a 3 year old kid was speaking only English..as his parents taught or brought him up like that.
It's good that the kid speak fluent English but first he must be taught to learn thier own dialect at home.
English can be learn later on at schools but that's not the case for learning our own dialect✌️

Nagamese is bengali, slowly we need to start banning it in schools n colleges.
Start with the youngs n in 15 years l70 % will start following ur idea.
Make ao or angami the common language according to population or the majority in the capital. Avoid jealousy n tribalism.

Just wanted to share this because after going through the comment section, I came across an interesting topic. Ok so, what i have understood was that, even though the PM stated that he was/is not against any local dialect he was indirectly hinting out that it(mother tongue) is also not necessary.
And also to back up my claims I have few points to follow up.
Firstly, If I am not mistaken, learning our own dialect is way more easier than any other dialects/or languages. What I am trying to say is that, before geting hyped for the main exams we should also not forget to do our home work.
Secondly, a special thanks to our brother staying outside our tribal villages) sharing us such valuable lessons because in this world of technology, who would have known the importance of Nagamese and English without some aliens mentioning about it.
Also My apologies for the bad English because it's not my first language and also if my statement is unacceptable. Peace✌✌
