Its just because he has injury history when we drafted him. I hope he stays healthy and then he would start this year.

Draft Mims in The 1st at pick 20 or move up a few spots to secure Mims if needed! Then trade your 2nd , your extra 3rd and your 4th to move back into the 1st and draft Powers Johnson! You would be secured at OLine moving into the future with Jones and Mims at your tackle spots , Jackson Power Johnson at center and for at least this year you got Isaac Seumalo and James Daniels at the Guards ! That would be a competitive OLine ! If possible keep Dan Moore as your 3rd tackle on jumbo package run played with Washington! You would end up with 2 1st , 3rd, 5th , 6th, 6th & 7th

The Steelers need to address that O-Line, which means spending three draft picks on the O-Line. Russ can make an average receiver look like an all-pro. They can find a Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, or Jermaine Kearse as a UDFA..

If you are going to double dip at WR, why not get a guy like Johnny Wilson from Florida state? We have speed. Let’s get a big MFer to catch balls over the middle. As a 6th rounder, he should have time to develope. Put him in front of a jugs machine and tell him to catch 100 balls a day every day…..

Would definitely like to pick a right offensive tackle first then pick a center in the second round pick. The kid from West Virginia if the kid from Oregon isn’t available. Which I believe he will be off the board by our pick at 20. These games are won in the trenches. Period.
What in the fuck team were you watching last year that makes you think we have a gaping hole at RT , all the pressure came up the middle. Dan Moore Jr does fine in pass protection , and when Jones moved to RT we started mauling trans in the run game . If JPJ is there you draft him , it’s the biggest no brainer at our biggest area of need . Why the fuck would you ignore the best Center prospect and likely all pro. for the 4th or 5th project/raw tackle off the board . When we draft a
IOL in the first round = all pro every time. When we draft an OT usually the 4th or worse off the board will n the first 3 round = almost 0 success. Period !
We need a left tackle at least at pick 2 if not 1 but I prefer it in round 1 or trade back and get tackle center and get a later pick to go with it.
We need a RT not LT. Jones is a LT and Khan said that's what they drafted him to be.
I can see us trading up to snag a early 2nd or late first without trading pick 20, can see us grabbing one of JPJ or Frazier along with someone like AD Mitchell

I like the first round pick. I’d go for an OT in the second round. Receiver first 3rd round pick.
Those are the 3 most urgent positions of need in my humble opinion. I like a middle lb and corner at some point as well.

Great draft. Instead of Phillips, get Renardo Green- FSU or Elijih jones- Boston college or Jarrion Jones FSU. 1 of them 3 instead. Phillips behind all them for me. Even the Tennessee CB kamall Hadden. Phillips not the worst, but all them infront of him for me.

B . we got the Dean guy for our roadgrader DT so switch that pick to Oline. Also not sure we need to invest a draft pick at ILB this year , another DB . With those two changes it’d be an A for me .

Deke! Jaheim Bell is a stud! I do understand he isn’t the blocker Holker is, but he is a utility player. He’s a suped up Connor heyward, can line up at TE/WR/RB/HB/FB would be a good offensive weapon
It’s been 15 years since the Steelers drafted a player without Tomlin or Colbert/Kahn attending their pro day. That was ziggy who they met with at the combine. They did not meet with JPJ or Frazier at the combine, nor did they attend his pro day.
You know who they did though? Van Pran.
Steelers go mims or Barton (duke), likely get a nickle corner in Sainristil in the second, then go get van Pran in the third

Good, JPJ runs flat footed, and nobody wants round one pick on IR. Duke center is crazy good, and leaves a round one pick forGeorgia RT Amarius Mims. Cincinnati will swoop an OT, 6 other teams are picking OT's, but lets fill our roster with a lower skill position a round 3 Center, duh.
need to take a look at tight ends because of the new OC and Pat Freiermuth injury history
Troy is Franklin is cool but Legette is my #1 I think he’d fit better with the system how AJ did working across the middle on slants, still has enough speed and strength to work down the field and get those 50/50 ball
I think we have to come out of the draft with both a center and a tackle. I also believe they’ll draft one or two Michigan players. They sent the entire organization to the pro day and they have 5 or 6 guys that would fill holes for us
I did a mock just now. Traded down from #20 to #26. All I did was best player available for our needs. Didnt care about names. But this was a pretty sick draft. Not what I thought would be there. Guys I liked all gone. Johnson was on the board at #20. I traded down. I ended up with #26 Cooper DeJean CB, #51 Patrick Paul OT, #57 T'Vondre Sweat DT, #84 Leonard Taylor DT, #98 Devontez Walker WR, 178a Hunter Nourzad C, 195 Carson Steele RB.
There is no way Leonard Taylor drops an entire round. Then I remembered what happened to Warren Sapp during the draft. Walker shouldnt be that low either. Im taking that 5 over anything I have mocked before. 5 guys possibly starting either this year and/or next? We havent hit on 5 guys in awhile. Could you imagine a DL with Benton, Sweat, and Leonard starting? OMG, thats sick. Then Porter and DeJean in the backfield behind our new LB corp. That went from sick to flat out gross, lol.

I'm down on JPJ just because he's a one year center. I really like Frazier but not at 20. The Duke guy Burton is interesting because he can be a bridge center and then move to guard. I'd move down to 26ish picking up another day two pick and target Frazier or Burton.
This class is deep at receiver, however all of the best will be off of the board by the middle of the second round imo. No way i'd take ANY center over say, Xavier Legette (or Nate Wiggins if available) at pick 20. A major weapon with elite speed on offense or an elite corner with elite speed is far more important to the roster imo.
I agree you can get a quality tackle in 2nd , not a center. They may go wr in 2nd , tackle with 3rd, wr with second 3rd wouldn't hurt my feelings

To be honest we don’t need to trade up, we need to keep them picks on the team

There is a wr I would really like to see the Steelers draft but considering he is slated to go pretty early in a bunch of mock drafts I highly doubt we’d get him but I like rome odunze from Washington

I would pick a LT in the 1st! Any of these would be great: Alt, Fashanu, Fuaga, or Mims!
I would trade up in the 2nd round to secure Frazier, C! We might even get lucky and have JPJ, C drop and be available in the 2nd!
In the 3rd round, I would hope for a WR, maybe Malachi Corley! But if no WR worthy of a pick in the 3rd, then get a CB or DL worthy of this pick! But a WR is a priority here!

we need a guy that can catch but is big and can block. Xavier Legette, Johnny Wilson are way above average. Johnny needs time to get better but we have that time to let him develop his short game. His long game is fine.
We need a Tackle, Center, DB, and WR in the first four picks
Think this is pretty damn solid. Not very familiar with the corner, would prefer they somehow come out of this with Mims and a center, but also believe JPJ is better than Frazier. Love, absolutely love the Franklin pick. Would swap out Pearsall for the late WR pick, that dude has Edelman type quality.

Fuaga is going earlier I'm fairly confident but it depends on the other teams
Roman Wilson, Xavier Worthy, or someone like Thrash or Devontez Walker in the 3rd if those guys aren't there at 52. I really like the idea of Roman Wilson.
I really like Andru Philips in the 3rd/4th round. I like getting a DL there too with Dwayne Carter in that range because I think Queen solidifies the lb position somewhat, though I like Trotter, especially if we bring back Roberts. I've seen a lot of Roger Rosengarten at 84 though too. After that it's so far down the draft it's hard to even know who will actually be there and half the time those guys take a few years to really contribute anyway.
I worry about mims didn't start alot of games. Size and athletic ok but ....get the center then the CT kid.
I want the Center ...but if number one CB coming out is sitting there. ...or two top two. Man that defense will be unbelievable. Also center will still be in there Frazier ...maybe trade up in second we do have a couple thirds drop one. It's a risk. I like Washington Wr in later round.

What's wrong with Myles jack as a depth piece. He did great last year. Two years ago, he played hurt plus Bush was his counter part.
I would rather take Khyree Jackson CB Oregon at 119 than Andru Phillips at 98. Jackson looks like the defense version of George Pickens with his massive body control.
