Hers is quite small even its fee is also alike 6.8K GBP but its catered. And one good news, I finally got my 2 year visitor visa. And you know what, it was stamped on 8 Sep but it got delivered on 20 Sep due to several reasons of delay but yes before my due date of travel, I got it and with 2 years validity, yupii. Yesterday I got two forex card one for my daughter and one for me and booked BnB in Manchester (MCR) for my 10 days isolation. I am going exactly like you were going few weeks ago and all your videos helped me a lot to plan everything the way you guide and did. God bless you with good time, studies & fun in EB. And, your room location is wao, its nice view specially from your common room. We have planned to open the bank account in HSBC. Right SIM we already got from VFS like you Lybara. There are different types of bank accounts available with HSBC. Go for the one that doesn't charge anything. Some bank accounts come with charges like 25 pounds a month to 35 pounds of month and when you pay in over 3000 pounds a month, they refund the charges. They charge you because they insure you mobile phone, passport, give you European travel cover, AA car breakdown (recover you car anywhere in the UK). Clearly you won't need them at the moment. So ask them for an account that doesn't charge anything. There is an hsbc advance account. Just check with them if they can offer that one without charging. Otherwise they will give you what is called as a basic bank account in HSBC terms. My account with lloyds bank costs me 25 a month but it is all refunded when I pay in over 3000 a month and I get all the benefits of a platinum account for free.

Halls of residence are given on first come first served basis. University is not obliged to give you a room if one is not available. It's not university's responsibility to make accommodation available. They are your sponsors for study, not accommodation. What you can do is that you can search rooms close to your university. Depending on how far you are from the city centre, price will change. There are many private student accommodations which are at a stones throw from the university. I'm sure you should have no issues finishing a suitable place to quarantine.
Hi Lubna, I applied for uni accommodation 6 months back and was guaranteed to get one. You can search for private properties for your stay. Book an Airbnb for 15-20 days from India. Search for a private room in a home for your staying once you reach there.

When you get an email from the home office telling you about not being able to make a decision within "these service standards" ; this means that your service standard was "priority" they are meant to give a decision quickly but when they can't, they send you this email. Now they will ask you for further documents if needed.

If main applicant already has a BRP and is in the UK then "yes" it is important that you supply a photo copy of that. brp has your partners details that the visa office has access to and can check the status. So if you have one then you must upload its copy.

This day 2 and day 8 Covid test which we folks from Amber list nations have to do during the 10 day self isolation period, what would you suggest, I book it after my visa application is processed and hopefully issued or should I book it now and attach the booking in the visa application?. There is a limit of how much you can transfer from india to the UK. After 7000 pounds per financial year, you will pay tax on it. I think its GST. so you should use separate accounts like one yours dads and one yours to transfer funds. Money can be transfered directly from your Indian account to your UK account. All you need is IBAN number. Ask your bank to give you the IBAN number. It will have all the information your Indian bank needs. Some bank staff are complete nuts. They don't know how to transfer money. They don't believe that IBAN alone can transfer money to the UK. If you are sending more than 7 lac ₹, use more than one account. Bank may need copy of your BRP and passport to send funds to you.

@@Nit1601 it should be 1000 ₹ flat charge when you send above 500 $ equivalent. It used to be 500 ₹ flat back in the days but it's gone up to 1000 ₹ now. Still check with your bank.
You can quarantine anywhere as long as you are coming from an amber list country. It can be a hotel of your choice, rented private home or university accommodation. You must declare that address on your passenger locator form and you will need the testing kits to be delivered there too.

You can't buy a house in the UK if your name is not on the voting list. Your credit file doesn't move ahead unless you start using credit card or use post paid phone. Voting is one of them. When you register to vote, you will be asked if your name should be in the open register, deny that and chose that your name should not appear in open register. Registering today will help you in long term. Many people I know had money to buy the house but never voted, so were denied mortgage as they were not able to vote and hence had a very low score. Search register to vote, fill in the form. You'll get your vote by post.

This day 2 and day 8 Covid test which we folks from Amber list nations have to do during the 10 day self isolation period, what would you suggest, I book it after my visa application is processed and hopefully issued or should I book it now and attach the booking in the visa application?.
I am applying under the "Standard Visit" category.
I am applying soon with my intended travel in late Jan.
What did you do in this regard?.
Did you book your day 2 and day 8 test package after your visa got issued or before that for you to attach it in the visa application?.
Some brief guidance would be much appreciated in this regard.

There is a limit of how much you can transfer from india to the UK. After 7000 pounds per financial year, you will pay tax on it. I think its GST. so you should use separate accounts like one yours dads and one yours to transfer funds. Money can be transfered directly from your Indian account to your UK account. All you need is IBAN number. Ask your bank to give you the IBAN number. It will have all the information your Indian bank needs. Some bank staff are complete nuts. They don't know how to transfer money. They don't believe that IBAN alone can transfer money to the UK. If you are sending more than 7 lac ₹, use more than one account. Bank may need copy of your BRP and passport to send funds to you.
@@500BHP hiya mate, yes I have all the details but the money transfer fees is steep when I tried to use the apps such as TransferWise. I will check how much HDFC Bank ( my bank) will charge for the international bank transfer. Many thanks for your response
@@Nit1601 it should be 1000 ₹ flat charge when you send above 500 $ equivalent. It used to be 500 ₹ flat back in the days but it's gone up to 1000 ₹ now. Still check with your bank.

You can quarantine anywhere as long as you are coming from an amber list country. It can be a hotel of your choice, rented private home or university accommodation. You must declare that address on your passenger locator form and you will need the testing kits to be delivered there too.

Hi Kamil, I need to pay my 12 months fee in 10 months - as instructed by the uni. So that would be 710 pounds per month for 10 months. For last 2 months there won't be any fee.

@@Dream_UK you should also register for a vote now. Since you are a commonwealth citizen, you have right to vote ❎ in the UK. Your credit score goes high when you are registered to vote. You can't buy a house in the UK if your name is not on the voting list. Your credit file doesn't move ahead unless you start using credit card or use post paid phone. Voting is one of them. When you register to vote, you will be asked if your name should be in the open register, deny that and chose that your name should not appear in open register. Registering today will help you in long term. Many people I know had money to buy the house but never voted, so were denied mortgage as they were not able to vote and hence had a very low score. Search register to vote, fill in the form. You'll get your vote by post.

Accommodation is secure and insured. Where people pay 35 a week, neither the house nor the site is insured. Once your boiler is gone, you keep begging the landlord and he only shows up when he needs to get the rent.
In other words you pay more when you stay in a 5 🌟 than when you stay in a motel. You will see the difference ☺
