So it's not really a continuous cycle track. There are dangerous intersections, and you have to get off and walk your bike in a number of places. Okay....we still have a long way to go to be more like the Netherlands.
Recently done this path from shatin to yuen long. While it is true that many sections of the path are pedestrian sidewalks and crossroads, most people still just ride their bikes on them, as not many people walk there, and the path is wide. So don't have to worry about getting off every few minutes
Really bad examples with new york and London. You should come to the Netherlands where we have the best bike cycle routes compare withe new york and London.
I found myself cycling through this section after my group suffered miscommunication over which cycling route to take when cycling together prior to the trip. Let’s just say it did not end well. 😂 Beautiful track, especially during the Fairview Park sector, but this is one heck of a track. 😂
I used to cycle from Sheung Shui to Yuen Long (and back) long before this cycle track was opened, and I still do. Just not on this cycle track, which is very poorly designed.
Hongkong 12 yrs ago and now. Lot of changes but its always been building nad transport system.seeing something like that is of course new and refreshing. I dont live in HK. Ive been travel since covid been to hk multiple time to go to china, pleasant experience

This is so beautiful. 60KM is quite a long stretch
Stooooooop! You're everywhere. Take a break
didnt ask
How are you here
60km might feel long if they are a lot of hills.
That guy biking with shirt and business pant. Crazy
what you want? cycling outfit on a work?
some in Amsterdam ride wearing business suit or fashionable clothes. every person's personal preference.
In Ganzhou, I saw ladies in heels biking, dunno how they do it.
It would be great if action was taken about the design issues!
Ye i dunno about a bumpy track

I live in Hong Kong
And I had ridden in this road before
It's a fun trail with a nice scene
However the road is really bumpy
Is there a direct cycling route from Tsuen Wan to Ma On Shan? Or the only way is riding via Tuen Mun?
@@valygarss yes there are
@@chesterchan5107 Thanks
@@valygarss You have to use Tai Po Road unless you are willing to take a long detour. It's quite dangerous though so be careful.
0:27 really looks like the Netherlands
Awesome cycle road
Sounds more like a tourist track than as part of a cycling infrastructure for every day transport use.

True, but it’s actually illegal to cycle past the blue ‘dismount’ signs
Ive done this whole track before from Ma On Shan to Tsuen Wan and it was exhausting but great fun!
Is there, anywhere along the road, bike for rent?
wow, amasing! ❤️🚴🏻
0:43 it’s actually illegal to cycle on footway (lol)
Chicken talking with duck. haha
Making roads for bicycles is cool. Imagine then you’ll need a plate and a license to ride lol
Rather that than having to get off every 10 s (that’s not an exaggeration)
I have done 60 km too .

@Redskins 7 true
why is it so narrow in some areas? A terrible design.

The guide reminds me of a young Wong Yat-fei, except he is not spazzing out like George from Seinfeld.

Does that road track lead straight into China prison, 🤣
@Go Livethis guy work at a phone scam company.
If you didn’t do anything bad, no road leads to prison. Otherwise, the prison goes to you.
