I wish I had it recorded, but there was this one Mercy POTG that happened which is stuck with me forever. The enemy mei ulted and their team's mercy ran up to me and killed me with the pistol. And that was the play, I've never been more called out in my life.
I had a worse potg Lol, I was playing hanzo and I saw a bastion and I wanted to kill him, ended up headshotting the ana who was behind the bastion (I didn't even see her)
happened to me one time. was pocketing a phara and there was a hanzo that couldnt kill anything even If they stood still, he tryed to hit the phara and accidentally headshoted me and got the potg it was the only kill he got the entire match
I think the worst POTGs are when: let’s say you get 3 hard fought kills in 12 seconds and you almost die, and someone else like Reaper uses their ult, gets 3 kills, and Reaper gets POTG instead of you, even when it’s not as skill based when he did it. It’s definitely annoying to see something like that, and it’s totally not that impressive.
Not as bad as the time the Lucio in my lobby got 0 kills and then died. Legit that was a POTG because he hit three dudes and then ulted before he fell off a cliff, to which he died.
At least you shut down an ult, I once saw a potg of a tracer in a game I joined mid-game and it was just them getting a kill from a dude they did like no damage to and someone else finished off and then killing me
The POTG It is not only earned for having made a great killstreak in 10 seconds, but also for the kill you did, in this case the Reaper survived an Ultimate
i had a POTG as hammond in which i spinned around the last bits of payload on king's row on the last point, and hit a lucio that ulted, causing him to fall into the small pit, without activating his ult. it was a POTG.
My favourite play of the game personally is where I threw out bob died and bob got two kills while I was dead so the whole potg was just my corpse sitting there
I had a game where Moira got play of the game after I ulted and murked everyone including their tank, didnt even help with the kills but just solo ulted the mercy in the air and that was it
I remember I got a 4 piece with 76, even emoted because I just knew that was POTG. Some Orisa got 2 kills with her ultimate and got it instead shit had me blown
There was this reaper in a game I was it a while back that got a team kill with his alt and then a torjorn got an assisted kill from a widow and got potg
