I'm back, 2 years later, to say I finally know why this video gets me so fucking good. It's because the Homestar Runner energy is off the charts. It's like a Strong Bad e-mail where someone asks him what he thinks would be a really cool ghost hunter team composition, but then he starts making fun of the e-mailer and turns the whole thing into a scooby-do parody.
Suggestion: Draw each other as magical girls (or magical guys) and choose a power/ weapon for each other. The magical girls /guys will become a team and either save the world or end it.
