I think this is last left over engines of himalayan 411 and scram 411 chassis they combined both and increased bore size i think they produce hardly 1lakh units
2 Reasons: 1) They cannot use the Himalayan Engine because that would put the Scram's performance very close to the Interceptor Bear Scrambler. Then people won't buy that bike. 2) Comparatively less price since this is air/oil cooled engine and bike doesn't have premium componentry.
No, this engine has better low end (low rpm) torque. And enough power and torque for city and occasional highway use. It is an amazing launch for PPL who can't afford the Himalayan 450
The 411 is a simpler engine that is bullet proof. Only thing is that at highway speeds it feels lazy. It needs better acceleration and better top end effortless grunt. Hope the bigger bore did that to the new Scram 440.
The chassis and everything is same. I have a scram 411 and have already upgraded the headlight from the 450. You can just go to the RE parts center and get yourself the lamp. The alloys should fit too. Currently saving up for excel rims!
Looks like stock clearance. It won't stay long in the market. They did it before with those 500cc machines. Customers are suckers. I've bullet 500, low end torque is only good for eating the rear tire and sprockets. You don't need 40nm of torque with so little 25hp. It ain't no diesel engine eh... 40nm and 40hp is a great combination which new sherpa is giving.
@@adityan3208 this is a day to day bike. Common people don't buy this just to go on wherever you go. And rich people won't be owning multiple low end machines. Nowadays there's no scramblers in the market which gives this kind of power figure. This low horsepower and high torque is a typical character of old long bore engines. In trails you don't need this much torque, there won't be any traction.
No, it's the old 411 engine which has been re-bored to make it 440 CC. They cannot use the Himalayan Engine because that would put the Scram's performance very close to the Interceptor Bear Scrambler. Then people won't buy that bike.
OK, I know - there's no satisfying people but I'll go ahead and say it: where is the Himalayan 440? I want the bump in power & torque, with the 6-speed and stronger frame, but I don't want the liquid-cooling or the ugly styling (de gustibus non est disputandum).

You're exactly right.. they are making a fool out of us
How are they making fool out of you?
@@adityan3208 They are literally clearing the stock.
@@sumukha95 ahh that's not a good response. My question stands. How are they making a fool out of you even if they are clearing the stocks?
@@adityan3208 Remember gt 535 or some limited-edition classic 500 or tbx or bullet trials. It's an old trick for new fools.
The 450 Himmy pulled to the right, had frame issues, TFT screen issues and side stand issues and lacked the classic rugged looks. This is much better!
Nice! So much better than the 450 Himalayan and Geurilla. It retains the RE charm.
good bike for people living in hilly area ..34 Nm torque will help carry good amnt of load.
Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh.
Does this engine got upgraded to 4v... And can you make a comparison video of the himalyan engines
I dunno why launch this. You already have a 450cc liquid-cooled engine used on himalayan, why not use that engine and call it scram 450 or bear 450?
Outra proposta
Maybe this will be much cheaper to compete with the likes of yezdi adventure
torquey engine

Exhaust coated with black and a touring windscreen would make it more appealing globally..
Hoping for 440 Himalayan Classic!
Wish they'd release a Classic 400cc as well since they've updated Scram;s engine to 440cc
I don't need to ride interstate . This is the bike I am looking forward to owning . . . T/C/E

Better acceleration? Nope!
Better top end? Yes to a small extent thanks to the taller gearing.
Damn that white color❤
For Harley and Maverick 440's Competition I guess....
Shi pakde hai😊
Nice bike too good brother ❤️👌
Tubeless wheels?
Tube and tubeless, both varients
Dino bhai....Hope the alloys and headlight unit will be compatible with Scram 411? Pls confirm na...

@shreelaypandya407 how much did it cost? Is the size / diameter same as that of Scram 411s ??
@@ishitpurani8905 They are the same diameter!
Aaj 23rd ko kaun si release kari hai?

For a scrambler you indeed need more torque than power. This is good.
@@adityan3208 You don't need that much torque when it has so low horsepower.
@@sumukha95 dude do you go 120kmph on sandy dunes? Or on trails? I don't see your logic at all.
It's completely apt for what it's meant to do.

that thumpy feeling, it gives while sitting at 100, on a 500cc. nothing can match it.
autoyogi also explaining in the background😂
Plz Royal Enfield, Just launch old Himalayan with this engine and the og console😌
Dino what you think in compare with Triumph 400 speed. Which one is best ?
........
The Triumph makes a lot more power but is a smaller bike. This is good for mild off roading
clutch of 411 was very hard. how is it in 440?
As hard as studying Latin
Air or oil cooled engine???
Air cooled with oil radiator, like the old one!
RE taking on Triumph very seriously.
New engine is it? It used to be on 411cc engine and now it has 443 cc. Or am I high on something 🤔
It's not a fully new engine bro they just increased bore of the 411cc motor
I feel like this was aimed at harley 440. They wanted them to know with the 440 in the name and the orange grey colourscheme
Like a scooter engine sound
OG Himalayan
Price ??
Does it have the same engine which is on on new Himalayan and gurellia??

Only a competitive pricing can save this bike 😢😢😢.
Is this smaller than the old scram 11?
No
What happened to RE like Bajaj they releasing bikes 😢
What about the Price?
Pricing brooo?

Looks like RE launching everything without price announcement, maybe prices will shock 😂😂
Hi bro 🎉🎉🎉❤
Instead of this they should've launched bear 350 a proper scrambler
Mileage
Instead of this RE SHOULD put this engine in Hunter and call it Hunter 440
RE smoking something
This is just parts binning at this point
Wow
Nowadays royal Enfield focus on only sales not about designs or anything
That's crossspoked so tubeless
This seems like normal spokes, not cross spokes.
They are really confused and making the buyer too
Alloys could have been better
scram 440 needs more fat tyres 110/80 and 150/70
440
RE is on fire in launching new bikes. People are going crazy to what to choose.
First
Cheap meter
My scram 411 is far better i guess than the new lauch 443 cc
Hahaha what a joke
@mayankshuklaYT own the bike first 😂😂 ! Buy the bike first and then comment 😂
@@nanirakesh368 everything is improved over 411 .. you are facing buyers remorse
Lol my scram 411 graphite yellow looks much better than these ones even after 2 years
