This is beautiful! I have a fuller figure. Adding a side panel made of the same mesh stitch pattern helped with front panel bust coverage and width for the arm holes. Thank you for figuring out the design😊
hi!! im a brand new crocheter and im just wondering what you mean/how you did? i'm really struggling with arm width rn so any help would be appreciated
@@jacque9929 I’m a very new crocheter too. What I did was make two rectangles where the height is from the bottom of the top to where I want the armhole to start & width is the distance between the front and back of the top when I put it on my body. Then connected the two sides of the rectangle to the front and back side by seaming them together. This creates space for the armhole! Sorry if the explanation is confusing & lemme know if you have any questions!
Thank you for posting this!! Was searching the comments and for "shoulder to shoulder" people say to measure arm pit to arm pit, not to the ENDS of your shoulders, hope this helps others!
Out of all the sweaters I have made, this is my daughters favorite. The pattern is simple and easily adjustable. We love love love the sleeves. A perfect bell shaped sleeve. You're such a talent! Thank you so much for sharing.
i make doll clothes...and picked up some really cool thread that i instantly wanted to make a 70's themed top with, just like this. so thank you for such a simple pattern to follow.
I LOVE this wrap top! I modified it a bit to fit my body better and decided to make long ties to wrap around my waist and tie in the front, and leave it without sleeves as a boho vest for this spring :) thank you for this fun tutorial!!
Just finished making this! I also added the scalloped edge all across the back of the top, so instead of cutting and reattaching the yarn i just continued around! And added a row of sc on the end of the sleeves and a scalloped edge on those as well. Such a fun project! I wish I had made the shoulder panels a bit wider, but I will on my next try!
Why are you literally the cutest human I’ve ever seen? I love you and your style and your whole vibe so much. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. ❤
I love your videos sm, you have such a gorgeous style and I LOVE it! Having these tutorials is literally so amazing because I can NEVER find clothes like this that fit me, so thank you!!!
I love this tutorial as well as the project I made from it I will say that I definitely underestimated my bust size so just make sure you measure as you go so it fits perfectly
I started it and then got to the 30 minute mark where you said you made it too small…. Mine is now too small 😭 maybe include that in the beginning before others also make the same mistake along with you 🤣
you should never follow a clothing crochet pattern to a tee, you need to measure yourself multiple times during each step to ensure it fits you, that’s not on her gurl 💀
I love the pattern but a little bit less from shoulder to shoulder didn't work for mine and it ended up too tight. I would recommend to measure from your back shoulder to shoulder and don't make it any shorter.
it also depends on the type of yarn used and how tight or loose your tension is as to how wide to make it, but yes, always measure so that you have a baseline just in case. since i make doll clothes, i am always putting it on the doll as i go because most of my stuff i make is pattern-less.
Thank you for sharing this, I'm 53 plus size & love this will definitely be trying to make this for myself! I've only done baby blankets, hats and recently made shawls to donate for cancer drive. As it's an illness I've battled myself. I've not made clothes, but want to try this, it's lovely! I love the color you chose it's gorgeous. I know my mom gave me some cotton yarns that are excellent quality I was trying to think of what to make and this is perfect!
I LOVE IT! omg im not gonna lie it took me almost nine days to complete, most likely because i had to work full shifts for three days, also i started making it on the day the video came out. any nearer definition on from shoulder to shoulder but a little less? like so that it fits nicely when stretched or do you have any clearer measurement?
@@coralbrandenburg3743 You mean you measured pit to pit, or…? The width of your back? I really don’t wanna start a pattern with such a vague idea of what the measurements should be 😭
@jadeharley8640 when the pit starts for me. going pit to pit, comfortably, like it's not stretching to reach pit to pit. I actually just finished everything but the sleeves and as I beginner I gotta say it looks pretty good! I hope this is helpful! sorry if not

This maybe a silly question but Im really just starting to branch out with my study of the craft but, when you say should to shoulder WHAT do you actually mean, like the VERY top of the shoulder AKA the highest point leading into the neck OR the WIDEST point actually going FROM shoulder to shoulder. LOVE bells sleeves and would really love to try it.
Hullo ! I have a question ! What size does this make for ? My bra/size in general is a 38 or 38.5 inches for the back/band part and was wondering what this would make for ?

I don’t know why I’m so stuck on making the rose. I’ve unraveled it tons of times then I started on a new yarn because it felt like a refresher, but I’m putting the double crochet in the same loop before starting a new row but for some reason it’s still going outwards \__/
Hello ❤️ I made my back panel longer… should you suggest to keep the increasing pattern of the video or increase “less” so that the front tie fall in the middle and not over it?
i made mine to how she did in the video and mine crosses over a bit.. you can either make the tie strings longer to that you can wrap it around the backside and tie it, or completely stitch the front two panels ontop of each other and not do the straps at all! if you do this, be sure to leave plenty of room to be able to get it on/off, and if you feel it is too loose, look into elastic thread to add into the bottom! hope this helps!
I have made half of one of the sleeves and I just realised I hadn’t been turning at the start of each round, I was just crocheting in the same direction the whole time. I’m not sure if I need to restart or not?it hasn’t seemed to cause any obvious problems yet.

for anyone that missed it: she used a 5.5mm hook for about 700 yards of worsted size 4 100% cotton yarn!
