3 I know exactly what you are talking about. The setting to change it to what you want is not in Excel. The setting you want is in windows. It is hidden somewhere in the control panel "time and language". I had to go to an advanced setting "Change Time and Date Format" and change the "Short Date" setting. I have follow your method step-by-step. But when I choose my MDY format, then select Finish, then my original data is replaced with three columns with the month, day, and year displayed in each column. This is what typically happens when I use the Text to Columns function. Why is that not happening when you perform this function? What am I doing wrong?

U may have put the delimiter sign in the other section. Keep it blank
