Awesome video papa! I’m gonna have to do that to my blackstone soon! I got a hole in my cover and I don’t have a covered back porch. Thank you for doing this video I learned a lot.
Awesome, you are welcome, lol. I can't believe how bad the flat top got, I have been ignoring it for awhile, but she is back and ready! Thanks booger. BTW, I am sending Sal out some Texas Olive Ranch Garlic Olive Oil tomorrow, and some of Madi's homemade Moo Rub!

Hey Papa Texas, I've got a steel hot plate that badly needs a clean. All the meat when I cook on it looks black. Will this method clean it up good, so all the family don't complain.
Hey Papa texas, I got an outdoor gourmet griddle and I'm having problems with it rusting. Thanks for the video it help me out. But I have a question when you did the paper towel with oil on it what temp was the griddle on.

Yeah, buddy ! Gettin' it right ! Moo rub, huh ? Hate to see those bacon ends go to waste ! Maybe place a pot of purple hull or blackeyed peas on top ? Toss in a few onions, a dash of Lea and perrins.......then bake some cornbread...oh jeez....I'm making myself hungry.
@@blackhouse7646 After bacon, wipe down and if needed soap and water, not much soap. Sometimes before my cook, I clean with soap and water, rinse good, the apply a little bit of Crisco and heat griddle, wipe off excess and it is ready to cook on.
Bacon Ends And Pieces are The BOMB!!!...when it's no so much fat...lol. I know why you said what you said because of the metal and preparations and the good seasonings of that Griddle...I would also sacrifice Bacon on a piece of "Unknown" surface that I was questionable about...like Cowboy Kent Rollins...I would not waste it like him and agree....I would give it to the dogs and make their day....lol. Just work on the rust spot. A wire brush should do the job. Scrub it, wash it, apply Crisco and heat it up.
