I live in Switzerland and On shoes are extremely popular, since they are Swiss and were promoted heavily by R. Federer.
A few years ago I read a publication of a few podiatrists who claimed, that the shoes are problematic, because they cause tears in the Achilles tendon. They said that the shoes are too soft and this is the main reason they have so many patients with torn Achilles tendon. Just be cautious if you consider the shoes.
