    You are very pedagogic...you did it enough slowly so I could learn how to do it...
    I did not think that about you when I first saw you playing....it was so fast...I wondered if I will never play that way...keep teaching and singing too 👌

    Hi Guy. Calling you guy just because when writing this comment I forgot your name. I'm so sorry. Ok, I should say: thanks. It was verry wonderfull learning from you. I'm just now writing partition of that song, with four voices. I been in contact of many versions of that one. So it gives me , one more time thé power to keep myself on top need of learning. Hearing from you, that kind of playing, it's reasonable good things and I'm sure that, it's gonna help more rhan people. Thanks a lot.

    Warren you are AMAZING!!!! I truly love the beautiful harmonies and runs you add to the song as music would be dead if it was going to be played note for note every time by all musicians. Your teaching and creativity are Truly Inspirational. I will also add that you are one reason why many students and musicians will keep inspired and be able to bless others both now and in the future. The video is AWESOME!!!!

      Thanks for watching. Yes, transitioning from the sheet to playing by ear can’t be challenging, but it is definitely worth learning how to play by ear - it’s very liberating and creative 😎👍🏽

    Your great man.
    Can you please use A flat in most of your videos Please Please Please🙏

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  6 лет назад

      Armstrong Zitha I play the songs in their original key. So I strongly recommend you try to learn the song as I teach them, then you can transposed it to Ab. You’re limiting yourself if you’re playing all songs in the same key.

    • @armstrongzee2421
      @armstrongzee2421 6 лет назад +1

      Well you have a point man. I surely need to learn all the keys and I will it's just that I started with A flat

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  6 лет назад

      Armstrong Zitha well we all started with a particular key, back then for me it was Key of C. But I then quickly learn that to be efficient I had to force myself to move away from C. The most efficiently way to do this is to start learning the songs in their original key as the recording.

    • @armstrongzee2421
      @armstrongzee2421 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks man am inspired to push further and be efficient. Your doing great things be blessed Mr Warren.

      Warren I mean the theory behind the drop 2s ,how to construct them,their inversions and their applications in different contexts.I hope you get me

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren

      patrick pallangyo I’ve never thought anything regarding drop two in my videos. Simply because it is not a concept I use in my play

    Walk up 4:23

  • @rennedelorean3341
    @rennedelorean3341 3 года назад +1

    This was composed by Doris Akers and I learned it from her, some of your chords are completely off. You should listen to Billy Preston play it on 'The Gospel Legends' . . . Doris is in the choir. Billy was a little boy when Doris wrote this in 1958 and he learned it from her. Your chords are nice but, they are not part of this melody, use then on some other song or just compose your own song.

      I often add reharms to my chords - part of the culture of modern gospel. However, thanks for watching and commenting 😊🙏🏾
