Don’t be like me… get a bigger net if your going to chase musky, I shouldn’t have targeted these fish without the proper net even just for a few hours. I just bought a new net a few hours ago and it is in my boat now ready for the next outing. You won’t see another musky video with a small net.
We're all human and make mistakes , I'm starting to take the barbs of my ewg bass hooks , gonna try em out today if the rain let's up . I'm tired of hurting these fish ✌ and ❤ and God bless 🙏
Along with the net, you’ll need hook cutters, jaw spreaders, and a good hook remover or long nose pliers. When you have a fish that’s been deep hooked, you’ll be glad you had them.
I've been fishing for muskie for years. Even if one turns away on you it's always worth a few figure eights. Most of my fish come off the figure eight.
Your channel has gotten me kick started on the fishing pipeline. Live in midmo area and lots of little lakes to pan fish at. Been enjoying all the amazing visual shots/edits and appreciate your calm knowledge filled videos
Nice catch man! I’m a big musky fisherman and when you real in try doing a figure8. If you don’t know what that is look it up I’ve caught many doing so. Even if you don’t see a fish still do a figure8 and they will come out of nowhere and hit it. If u see them coming in do it and they will usually hit it or you’ll get a super intense follow. All love man🙌🏻
awesome vid man awesome musky wet fishing at a new spot yesterday made a video but its olny got 8 veiw lol luckily i finally caught somthing other than a pearch i caught a rock bass
Great video always figure 8 them even in clear water they can come out of nowhere and if one spooks it may come back for it. Loved the video and the energy gained a subscriber!!
It's tough when you get the target fish on the first cast and then blank for the rest of the trip. But at least ya'll got one. Do you have any advice for Musky lures? I'm heading to Illinois in a couple of months and want to target Musky while I'm there. Have never caught one. Thanks.
@@NASPELTZ I Wana catch walleye can u give me some tips also if u don't mind I can send u the place i fish so u can tell me where to fish for walleye from, it's a marina just look at it on Google maps and tell me where I should fish in the marina, because there are different parts of its kinda confusing where to fish
I accidentally caught a musky at the French broad river in NC not knowing what It was and found out it was a 1 and a lifetime fish first cast to it turned out to be 35 inches and 15 pounds
Get a Mojo Musky, Shimano TranX, 80 pound braid with atleast a 50 pound leader of either steel or flouro. I’d tell you lures but the theirs only one “lure” that really matters and that’s time because it’s the only thing you can cast out and never get back. You’ll need to vary up your lures throughout the day and figure out what they are biting. Another thing to note is location. “Are Muskies in the area I’m casting in”. Get good at reading underwater terrain and figure out where the fish are hiding out and where they feed. Another thing that’s important is patience, it could take you days, weeks, and maybe even months before you hook onto one, so just stay the course and stay persistent and it’ll happen eventually. I’d strongly recommend finding guide services, guides are some of the best ways to learn and grow as a fisherman in unknown waters or fishing for a new species.
Awesome channel especially for the size. But I would recommend a name change bc it took me forever to find your channel bc I couldn’t even Sigurd out how to say it so it was a pain to remeber to spell it to find you
@nelsonwilley062998d haha ya I get it man, I don’t blame you, wish I wouldn’t have choose this name cause it’s so random unless people know my real name
You one time me and my cousins went fishing and we saw a slightly smaller musky then later that day we went tubing to a beach then when we went back to the house and my cousin had to go do something with a rope and then I saw the biggest musky it looked like 100 pounds crazy big right in front of the tube like 8 feet deep then me and my other cousin who was on the tube with me started to yell because the cousin who was doing the rope thing was swimming back and we were already scared of musky and ofc we only told her why we were screaming. And it was that trip when I caught a massive bass on a paddle boat with a princess fishing rod using Hot Dogs. And the mystery fish that’s on my RUclips channel
U know we are very different Im assuming Foreigners:Bass and usual,Pike is rarer and Musky is the rarest Mean while us in Malaysia Usual:Talapila and lampam,a bit rarer is Catfish and Haruan and rarest is Toman and Arowana Also Tapah
Before you buy one more fishing bait or another Go pro camera, please, please, please buy a quality net with a good bag coating and throw yours in the trash.
Check the musky video after this one. I posted it like a month or so later. I have all new musky gear, (net, rods, reels, pliers, jaw opener, hook cutters, and more) cost me a pretty penny but I want to make sure I’m taking the best care of these fish and it was irresponsible of me to not have the proper gear to musky fish. I was just getting into it at the filming of this and fell in love with musky and can’t wait to go this year. :)
But yes you are absolutely right. The proper gear is extremely important. Exspesially a net. Small nets are not safe for musky. I bought a very big and deep musky net so I can keep the fish in the water while it’s in the net on the side of my boat. Absolutely love it
