Sir i have a doubt, i had completed by my class 12th in 2019 but took 4 drops/4 attempts to clear neet ug but cracked it in 2023 and now i am a first year medical student and doing mbbs in a prestigious government medical college in india but I'm 22 years old now. Will these drops/attempts numbers affect my usmle journey or matching in usmle in future?

I don’t have Instagram, I hope you would answer me here. When should I start preparing for USMLE? I have cracked NEET-UG this year and I’ll be joining MBBS now. I’m looking forward to become a gynaecologist in USA.

      Hello @khiresnehal8704,
Your decision ultimately depends on your personal circumstances and goals. If you have immediate financial needs, starting a job as a medical officer might be beneficial as it will provide you with income while you prepare for the USMLE. However, if there are no pressing financial concerns, focusing directly on preparing for the USMLE could help you achieve your goal of moving to the USA more quickly.
Additionally, consider what environment you thrive in, as balancing work and study can be challenging but possible with proper planning.
Ultimately, it's a personalized decision that you need to make based on your current situation and long-term career goals. Best of luck with whichever path you choose!
      Thank you.
