  • This is the first video in our update to our massive 2017 FAQ video about being sued in Alabama by debt buyers such as LVNV, Midland, Portfolio, Velocity, etc.
The videos will cover one or maybe a few questions to keep them somewhat short and easy to watch.
    Thanks!

Sounds good -- if you are in AL please do call or go to www.alabamaconsumer.com/contact-us/
If you are in GA get with Steve Koval in GA. If another state, try this:
Here is a link to help you find a consumer lawyer www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-attorney in your state and also here is a video going over how to use the website ruclips.net/video/UNXO7qheGAc/видео.html.

*question.. is the plaintiff required to notify me ?* ..
I recently received several letters from lawyer's wanting to represent me. Each letter stated a court case#. I looked up the case & found out I'm being sued for a charged off account.
Paperwork was filed w the court 5/18/23, I haven't received anything from the plaintiff nor the court

Great question -- yes you will be "served" which is where a sheriff's deputy or private process server gets the lawsuit papers to you. My suggestion (although most disagree with me) is to go ahead and deal with this rather than waiting to be served. What state are you and I'll see if I know an attorney who defends these types of cases.
      Thanks!
