If you started from the Botanical Gardens (in the opposite direction of where you actually started) to walk towards the SHAMRI, would have been much better, because then the sun would have been all the time behind you and not into the lenses.
Then you would have had the best colours and absolutely no shadows or blinding rays to interfere
Adelaide is a nice quiet city and easy to get around the only negative is that it is dead after 6pm Saturday and on Sunday aside from a few cafés.

Betelgeuse god chuch Plenty of people live here. This was taken very early in the morning, most people were not out and about yet. It’s also a Sunday which is quiet at this time of the day. In a few hours it would start to get busy with people and traffic.
