It was just six years ago on this date that we were hitting record lows of -25 below zero, with windchills of - 45 below; and this year, it's 50 degrees with flooding rains. Go figure. 🤔
every time we get an inch of rain, the city floods so whoever they have doing these jobs has not been doing them. I think they're checking off a checklist that says they did the work and then they turn in the checklist so they get paid but no work is actually being done. 30 years ago the city could handle an inch of rain.
because we don't live in a first world city anymore nothing works and nobody cares they won't even acknowledge the problem. They want to blame frozen ground.
Funny how they told us to alert limit water flooded streets we. Dont have maintenance they dont clean gutters sewers regularly . Were is our 50 + deep tunnel system . What nerve
This is strange. I live on the northside where many of these areas were sited, and I didn't see any of this. Streets, alleys and basements, all in good condition.
you probably live in a part of the city, where the workers are actually performing the maintenance and not just saying they are performing the maintenance.

every year, all the basements in chicago flood. you'd think you'd find a solution.
flooding the river with nuclear water, seems like their solution doesn't that sound like a great idea
I remember when it used to snow this time of year. Everything seems out of wack.
That’s what climate change will do to you.

If we’re paying water bills then why would we have to limit water use? Fix it!!!

We're fine over here? Southeast side.
