fir me the secret on hardflips is to pop your tail straight down and in the last second push scoop to your right wheel on your back truck. and your front foot just flips straight out to get it out of the way
Thats what i try to explain to my friends and they dont get what i tell them. I say to pop and then scoop your tail instead of just trying to scoop like a fs shuvit and then flick out like a kickflip but just a little more sideways.

I've been trying this technique where I sort of try to flick the board upwards as my front door is below it when the board is upside-down in the air. So imagine the board up in the air upside-down already, grip tape facing down, and your front door being under the board just flicks it from underneath. It's kind of interesting to try.
How long does it take for you guys to learn or master skate tricks. I still don't have the hang of ollies and I've been practicing for almost a month now :(

Anyway i dont know if it will help you because every other person has diffrent position of his feet, but i found out that the board flips easier if you pop straight down (not like fs shuv) and put weight on your fingers (not whole foot), same goes for fs flips, dunno :D don't judge me as I said im learning this trick atm
There are so many tricks in learned using the train track technique of thinking about skating on one rail and landing the trick on the other rail. The hard flip is one of those. On the flip side (pun intended) switch hards for me, stay on the same rail 🤷🏻♂️

I learned hardflips over a hip first, then on flatground.
The board doesn´t need the full rotation kinda and it´s easier to pop.
