Nice miniature garden. I've been doing it for years but found that the moss and succulents have different light requirements. Moss will yellow and brown if not given partial shade. A mini tree 🌳 😍 cover works for shade or perhaps a pergola or canopy. I use bunnies 🐰 😅 or hedgehogs or little people. Any cute creature 😍 💕. After I found out the fairies origin. As a Christian gal it was easy to switch for sure. It is so much fun ☺️ to do the mini landscaping and pretend for a while , it's relaxing and chases away the blues 💙 turning things to in the pink especially with the children. If not it's good to be young at heart ♥️ like Satchomos and Jimmy Derandys song. Sending agape love .
Where did you find the tiny door? I do want to make a fairy garden with my 3 year old grandson, but I also want to hide a little fairy door in his bedroom that I am putting together for my grandbabies here at my house. I love the size and that it’s flat, so I can get it flush with the wall!
No, with this kind of container that wouldn't work, because the dried moss shouldn't get wet. That't why the plastic liner has to be leak-proof. The gravel layer should be enough to drain any excess water, as long as you're careful not to overwater the plants.
You can find a variety of sizes and shapes at Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Michael's, or on Amazon. Really any craft or hobby store should have them available. Hope that helps!
Hi, Has anyone been able to find the MOSS PLANTER WITH LINER?? I looked online at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Amazon, eBay and did not find any. I saw one on Etsy but it's $30 and $21 on another site. Surely they must be available for a lot cheaper. Anyone?? Thanks for any leads!!
It's actually dried moss, so it's best not to use too much water. If you wanted to use live moss instead, I'd suggest watering lightly, but using a mister on the moss. But using the dried moss makes that unnecessary.
The container came exactly as you see it at the beginning of the video. It was bought at a craft shop. An no, there's no hole in it. These plants only need light watering, and the gravel layer is enough to provide sufficient drainage.
This container was about 4 inches deep, and the plastic liner is more like 3 inches. We used plants with very shallow root systems. Good luck with your garden, Amelia!
The moss is real, but dried, not living. I think they dye it a little bit, too. You can get most of this stuff at a craft store. Since we're a store, we ordered it from a distributor and had it for sale, but we don't have much left at the moment. So I'd just try whatever craft store you have in your area.
We don't have any in right now, but we'll probably get some more in the springtime. We did have them for sale in the store at the time we made this video.
Hola te felicito me encanto pero me gustaria que me digas como haves los recipientes con musgos o con pasto no lo se me lo dices x fa gracias saludos desde guayaquil ecuador
Great tips and tutorial. Ive been doing these since the 90s and have tried so many different plants and things. Lobe yours. U did it so fast! Where did u het thay beautiful planter?
No I'm am giving you this advise do not use rocks at the bottom of the pot. Use a pot with drainage holes. Please don't do this but I'm not the boss of you so listen if you want.
We appreciate your concern! The person creating this lovely fairy garden is a horticulturist and is well-versed in the requirements of materials and plant environment necessary in creating this arrangement. Thank you for reaching out!
That's a good idea, especially since it's set in a plastic liner. Fortunately, we haven't had any trouble so far, as long as we're careful about watering.
I am new to miniature gardening, wondering how the container is made, is it dried moss sheet? What about the plastic sheet? Not sure where to buy those.
A large craft supply store will usually have these items. I've seen things like this at JoAnn Fabrics, and also at larger garden centers. You might have to buy the container and the moss separately, though.
So pretty! Our local library is holding a free craft class soon, and the project is making fairy gardens! I can't wait to attend.
Adorable! Love how it came out.

what are the watering suggestions because you have moss that likes moisture and the succulents that don't???
It's actually dried moss, so it's best not to use too much water. If you wanted to use live moss instead, I'd suggest watering lightly, but using a mister on the moss. But using the dried moss makes that unnecessary.
madam' i have a question...where did you put this Miniature Fairy Garden' outdoor or indoor?
It can go indoors or outdoors because of the container it is in! So long as it doesn't get over-watered. Enjoy!
Lovely you did that well good ideas
I love it
Thank you!
Can you added a little pool.
i love your project and my mother too 😇😇
SO GOOD
Si! Muchas gracias por responder!
Hi. How you made the nice Container? Is there any whole in this Container? Thanks.Zz.

Beautiful !!! where did you get your moss container ???
Craft supply stores and garden centers often carry them.
thanks for the info...we need this project in our EPP class ;-;
You are oh so welcome! :)
What plants did you use for this?
loved it
how deep is the container? im making my own container and want to know how deep to make it so the plants are happy.
This container was about 4 inches deep, and the plastic liner is more like 3 inches. We used plants with very shallow root systems. Good luck with your garden, Amelia!
Mimosa Books and Gifts I was wondering the same thing. It seemed like there wasn't enough dirt.
Succulents don't need much soil, but they do require good drainage. :)

How wold the faiths come in if there is no house?????

Where do you buy your minature furniture? Is the moss real?
The moss is real, but dried, not living. I think they dye it a little bit, too.

You can buy fake Moss if you can't find any outside
There is no drainage?
How to water them? How often need to water them?
Just water lightly every other week when the temperatures are cool, or every week in hot, dry weather.
where do you get the moss
If you have a local craft store or garden center I'd check there first, otherwise you can order it through Oriental Trading Company or Amazon.
Hi. Thanks for prompt reply. Again I am watching your video, too cute. Mary x-mass and happy holidays to you. Zz from Canada 🇨🇦.Zz.

Where did you get the moss?
I believe you can get these moss planters at your local Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or other craft store.
quisiera sabr si yo puedo comprar las suculentas por amazon
Creo que sea difícil conseguir plantas vivas de Amazon. Mejor tratar con un vendedor local.
انتي مبدعه جميل جدا جدا

does she actually think fairies are real?
All I can tell you is, when it gets to the right scene in Peter Pan, she claps every time.
Pusheen You mean they aren't real? Close your eyes and listen, you skeptic!!
well, it's kind of fun to belive fairies are real.
You are really rough with some of those succulents
Succulents are super hardy and these were just fine :)
RRRRRRRRR
Hello Furniture should be colour full
You should not plant succulents in normal potting soil as it lead to root rot, try using actual cacti or succulent soil!
That's a good idea, especially since it's set in a plastic liner. Fortunately, we haven't had any trouble so far, as long as we're careful about watering.
It's not colorful
the beginning was a little messy
I love it
