i think serpent flies should be on S tier because even as 1stacks being abld to cross the entire map turns dealing with shooters from a potential heavy powerstack bleed to a manageable loss of a bunch of onestacks, and in pvp blocking enemy shooters, if they have like a clops powerstack, you can make them lose a couple of opportunities to attack. if you expect a ranged powerstack building them is almost guaranteed to significantly increase your chances at winning the game
Will value the dragon fly upgrade second after grand elves, they offer much better utility compared with water elemental upgrade or sea dogs. And will rate golems same as griffins and wraiths. Gj!
Actually they are among the fewest in growth at tier 3 even with the extra bonus building. You only get 10 from base growth + castle and +3 from the extra building so you get 13. Most other tier 3's are 14 each week except for golems & ice elementals which are 12. Dragonflies are 16 and griffs are 17. Their growth is actually pretty bad if you ask me, and one of the reasons they aren't as good as they could be. The tri-headed attack they have is also easier to avoid than the hydra/magic elemental surround attacks. So while it is a good ability, you often won't see it happen. Without bless you have a solid unit but not the best. With bless they can be nasty, but as inferno you often won't go into water magic, and blessing just one unit is not worth.
I tried it but don't like it personally, I feel like the 1 hero gameplay takes a lot of depth out of the game (you don't have to chain, planning is a lot less complex, etc).
I usually got for Royal Griffins when I have resurrection. Think about it, infinite retaliation. Send them away, let them hit and be hit with retaliation every time, then just resurrect them and do it again and again. Lose no griffins basically but griffin damages everyone. Of course I am talking late game when there's 200 of them or something.
I would put Royal Griffins on B tier, at least. I like a power stack combined with Archangels. When attacking a town, I'll either use Prayer or Haste on Griffins and fly then behind the enemy wall. With resurrect, they become very formidable.
royal griffins are pretty good, but i just felt like the other upgrades are better (the point here isn't how good the unit itself is, but how much of an improvement the upgrade is over the unupgraded version)
Agree. I think in terms of what you get when upgrading then: - Orcs should still be F. You get what you pay for I guess since they are dirt cheap. - Evil eye up to E tier, its better than orc upgrade, though you only want it for the speed increase - Wraith stay at E - Royal griff up to B. Getting 3 more speed and unlimited retaliation is nice and allows the royal griffs to cover the battlefield in only 2 turns, while griffs cover battlefield in 3 turns. - Iron golem stay at D - Corsair down to D. It's not really that big of an upgrade, only slightly better than iron golem in my opinion. - Cerberus stay at C - Ice elemental stay at B - Dragon flies up to A, maybe low S because of the spike in speed. Although serpent flies are already pretty fast so how much the gap is worth, I'm not entirely sure. - Sea dogs stay at A or maybe low S. It is very costly to upgrade them, and costly to recruit but well worth. Cost is main issue why they aren't necessarily S. - Grand elves is king of tier 3 upgrade. You get so much for your money and its only wood although it is a lot of wood.
This list is for upgrades in particular, meaning I'm not ranking these by how strong the unit actually is, but by how much of an improvement the upgraded version is over the unupgraded, and for evil eyes there's barely any improvement in my opinion.

Good point, thanks for sharing your opinion!
True, serpent flies are a day 1 upgrade on fortress. Side- Hero movement speed.

The Cerberus are my favorite
They are underrated, they are a mini-hydra, but faster, and you get so many of them.

I wish they would buff inferno units
Sorry if someone else already asked but do you play Jebus Outcast or some other template as well sometimes?

Aren't you an attentive one. That's true, don't remember how I did it as it was a while ago. Maybe there was a hill fort.

Why is Evil Eye so low on the list, they are best Lv 3 shooter and no melee penalty, they are better then Grand Elf, Seadog and Orc Chieftain

@@alex_the_magician9483 Okay,thank you
Nice video, tier3 upgrades are definetely one of the most underwelming among upgrades.
True, except for seadogs and grand elves ofc
Nice!
Thx :)
