  • In this video I showcase the apprentice starter up kit offered by Snap On Tools. This is a 40 Inch roll cab with all tools included to get you up and running. There are many different variations from tool companies catered for entry level technicians, giving the ability to roll your tool box in and start on the job straight away.
I had never seen the Snap on version of this so I thought it would be a useful video for any new Technicians / Mechanics looking to make Snap on and Bluepoint there main tools.

I sincerely hope no apprentices buy SnapOn tools starting out. There is no need to get them with the huge amount of great tools for far less money and not getting into debt. If you start off working to pay for your tools for the next few years you are doing it wrong!

  • @advancedleveldiagnostics

That is a nice box! I would still rather have a blue point box with snap-on sockets, just my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

  • @greatwhitehunter420

First of all you don't let an apprentice go broke buying snap on ....

  • @ghgjftythnhcfghdty

You've really screwed over your new apprentice alllowing him to buy that kit. He could have bought a nice second hand cab and everything he needed for a fraction of the money he's spent there.

  • @jocool562

Thats not a start up kit, that a decent used car.

  • @soarix1833

half these tool will not help a starter tech lol, they they didnt even incluede a oil filter wrench & they gae him A 22MM IMPACT SOCKET LIKE WHAT?!?!?!

  • @XX-sz6qh

As long as he likes it, saw a lube tech of 2 months buy 25k worth of snap on and a box. Now hes 5 months in and absolutely hates being a mechanic.

  • @anthonyhawkins9432

Ridiculous price sorry, but that's way too much for what an apprentice earns, lovely tools though.

  • @gilbymdgrekords8579

that's the classic thinking ahead on snap on's part, lets pack it full of cheap blue point tools so that they will, "trade in the blue point for snap on tools" in the future and we can shaft them for even more money 👍 well done snap on, Corporate Capitalism at its finest.

  • @JohnC686

That's a nice box. But man, it's a lot of Bluepoint for the $$$.

  • @onthethrottle7104

A lot of companies buy these for starters sets to get start up mechanics interested to work for them. It's a write off for the company and provides them a chance to get a good apprentice. The great thing about Snap On, other than it's a great tool, is you can sell the tools and box and always get your money back. I've had Snap On tools for over 30 years and some of the items are worth more now than when I paid for them. Not only that but I get several people coming to buy my Snap On tools, when I sell other tool brands and no one shows up...

  • @mlieser1230

Nice tool box. I was surprised to see Blue Point sockets and ratchets when you opened the top drawer. I guess that is Snap On's way of cutting cost to compete with the competition. Back when I started there weren't a lot of alternatives to the tool trucks. Sears Craftsman was the go to supplier here in the States for your first set of tools. I later progressed to Snap On, Mac and Matco when I had access to the tool trucks.

  • @Dancing_Alone_wRentals

The socket drawer won me over. After that I was thinking the tool holder material was just right.

  • @closertothetruth9209

yep thats a good kit, the sockets were my favourite set up, i still use imperial on the yankee stuff and our older cars.

  • @mauricehiggins7661

very nice kit best of luck to all.👍

  • @Sable.frc1

As a starter only snap on stuff I’ve bought was 3/8, 1/2 flex head ratchet, impact extensions, pry bar set, tech angle 3/8 torque wrench, 12 pc snap ring pliers. Even with my student discount I spent around $2000 😢

  • @rustandoil

Those foam trays look great but use up a lot of room
