What yall were talking about at 4:30 is true! I'm Jamaican, and we rarely refer to people by or even mention the colour of their skin, it's always what country they're from. Observing American culture really shows me how much they sometimes rely on skin colour to determine how they feel about a person. It's honestly super interesting.
Most people I've met, at least in California, don't see people this way.

that's american culture. white society created a cast system that's been in place since 1600s. Literally no one created this nor asked for this besides white society. Plus Jamaica is no where as near as diverse. that's the problem when you mention other places. You have 60% white 13% black 14% Hispanic 7% Asian. instead of embracing each other diffences acknowledging them respecting the differences. we try to form everyone under this picture perfect term of being "American" when the term and actions don't match up. There's a clear and very obvious different treatment that Americans get based off of skin color background history etc. so even if you remove the titles the hate for that group will still be present
