Highlighting many moments where all EDG players played so good and as a team, that just tells you they were far better than DK, of course, DK struck back in this final, 3-2 after all, but, what EDG did, it was in a different level. Jiejie! Since 2018, whenever the LPL and LCK met in Bo5s, the LPL won, except for the Final the previous year and instead of being the same teams, they did it with different teams, RNG, iG, TES, EDG and CN national team at Asian Games.
Very good and accessible educative content, please keep it up!! Engaging editing, cool Flowers voice and commentary keeping us in, great explaining of what's going on, this is a really nice initiative (I'm guessing this is Teamfight Breakdown/The Breakdown's successor and I'm glad to see this back!)
2018 MSI- RNG 2018 Worlds- IG 2019 Worlds- FPX 2021 MSI- RNG 5 of the last 7 international events, IDK how you can say back when they have been on top for a while
Well in the beginning the tournament favourites FPX was hyped more than DK, but they choked hard. Then all 4 LCK teams in play offs, they are still “better” if you look that way. DK was 9-0 before the clutch SKT BO5. EDG looked shaky against RNG/GenG, What you expect the casters to say? Until the end EDG silenced the crowds with confidence, just showed us how great they are.
@@bcisleoncool Even before this tournament, Riot was with the dynasty narrative, they're just losing credibility, first by being completely biased towards EU and NA, then forcing narratives, plus, they ended up giving the FMVP to a mid, because that's what they wanted this year to happen, hyping up ShowMaker who lost. Jiejie was the clear FMVP for all the things he did the whole Final.
EDG like to learn the enemy trategy/champion since LPL, they like/willing to learn from other and dont hesitate to practice it, it's not like ThEy OnLy KnOw to CoPy FrOm T1, lol. Example when they're in LPL, there 1 match EDG vs TES, they lost both game to TES and Jackylove did an amazing show with Draven, after that Match Viper started spamming Draven like crazy. Or when they lost to WE in playoff because Shank played Ryze really well, after that Scout started picking Ryze more often. At world after the lost vs T1, they stared to play the Aphe/Lulu, after the lost vs 100T, they started to play Lucian/nami, but the result didn't seem good, a lot of ppl even said they should stick to the strength of them, stop copying others. But EDG kept practing and improving. Overall, I would say EDG have adapted to meta, they're not copy, they're ADAPT, that's why they win in the end.
Dont bother, they wont be as good. LPL teams are only strong for one year and then the next year, with all the roster changes, it will be entirely different teams that will dominate the LPL, i highly suggest just watching LPL as a region overall. Its the region with the biggest number of teams and games are always entertaining and packed with action and creativity.
@@pyazzang Nah not necessarily, if there is one team that can consistently play at a high level in the lpl it is EDG, proven with their 6 lpl trophies. Yes they had their dip in standings for the last 2 years, as they tried to let their rookies play alongside scout and meiko. But when they get quality veterans and imports you know they’ll be near the top. Unless you wanna be an lpl fan or have a lot of time to spare, Id focus on the matches of those likely to make it to worlds 2022: EDG, RNG, LNG, BLG, TES. There might be a dark horse or two, but we’ll see.
@@pyazzang when you are a champion, it is a obligation other teams study all your gameplays and how you get there. The fact that LPL is almost the only region that can make it shows their power.
Viper throw a e into the pink warded bush where shoemaker was hiding. That's how they knew he was in the bush, and shoemaker made the mistake of trying to chunk jiejie down (goredrinker + zilean ult hello?) And paid with his life. EDG and LPL is just a tier higher this time. Imagine rng wasn't facing EDG in the quarters, the final would.have been all lpl.
Before the gank, they cleared that bush, so, they didn't know the ward was there, they could suspect they placed one though, on the other hand, Ryze's ulti shows how many champions are being teleported in it, you see a light for every one of them, so, what may have actually happened, it's they were going to do the usual gank, until someone said let's go in with the ulti, you can see Meiko and Viper turning around once the ulti was being channeled.
