See some amazing air to air pics of the Vulcan, a little bit of video and a commentary from me about what it was like. Then at the end my top 5 pics from the shoot and the reasons why.

Incredible experience and great photos 😃Growing up in an RAF family in the 60s and 70s I was very lucky to both see this amazing aircraft not only in airshows, but also up close on RAF family days. I remember being allowed inside the cockpit and rear crew section on a couple of occasions (as my godfather was a Vulcan navigator). Cramped, familiar aircrew smell but such a wonderful experience. I so wish this, the Lightning and Phantom were still flying today as they were epic aircraft 😍

Cool. Phantoms still fly and I've almost done an a2a several times. Unfortunately Lightning's don't! More aviation to come!!!

@@WildmanrouseAh yes, indeed they do in some parts of the world of course. A couple of my Nav instructors were ex Phantom plus a few from Buccaneers. I will certainly look out for some more content, as I subscribed a few days ago. Thanks 👍

Brings back so many memories - great images of such an Icon and I think image 4 has Eastbourne in the background as it looks like the pier

Great video. Sounds like one heck of an experience. My brother has a copy of the Beachy Head lighthouse shot hanging on his wall. It is a fabulous print.

Growing up in the 1970's and living no more than 20 miles from Finningley where they were based, they used to fly over on a regular basis. Late 1980's and around the time they were decommissioning them, was on a field trip with college, doing plain table surveys and one flew down Dent dale, probably no more than 1000ft if that above us

Loved the video & the photos Andy! But anyone coming to Doncaster expecting to see XH558 in an education visitor centre will be disappointed as, whilst it was discussed, never happened. Although if you do contact the Trust, there have been tours- I don’t know if any more are planned. XH558 was under threat to have to be moved by now- location unknown- but now has permission to stay until the end of 2023. Maybe that time will be extended. All this is because DSA has now closed and it’s future is unknown. Warehouses? Houses? Quarry? Some think it could even be an airport again. The latter seems to be a pipe dream, but I’d love to be proven wrong.

Fantastic presentation Andy. It was interesting how you thought of capturing the plane in its environment like a wild animal. Really interesting and entertaining - I'm looking forward to your next one. Thanks!

Great video Andy. What an epic encounter you had with her. The pictures are superb. To this day the best photography memory I have is seeing xh558 at beachy head with you and the FB guys. It came head on to us and then full power, full howl and away. I will never forget that experience!

Followed you for years Andy, drifted away from wildlife photography when I turned pro. Now retired through health issues and now coming back to wildlife photography as a hobby. Primarily macro I have moved from Nikon to Olympus for its versatility, however my other love is aircraft and watching this has really blown my mind. I REALLY hope we are going to get more of these videos. I am off to RIAT for the first time this year with the OM-d EM-1 MKii and trying to decide on what lens to hire….I am thinking the 100-400 5.6-6.3….what are your thoughts on this particular lens please Andy?

why do photographers rely so heavily on photoshopping etc., ruins it for me, images don't look realistic

Most straight out of the camera here. Just tinkered with some dodgy lighting. Pretty rude comment from you so why do you follow me? Plenty of others you can abuse and you should get your facts straight before abusing someone’s work
