  • Uploaded on behalf of bennyh4618. It was written and sung by Billy Walker from his last recorded album titled "Thank You, Thank You Very Much" Ironically, Billy helped to build Elvis' career, having had him open for him in the early touring years and here, on his last recorded album, he signs off with Elvis' signature send off.

This is my great uncle. Died when I was 14. My grandma was his sister and they were so very close. Such a good man!!! He and Willie Nelson were very close. If you could find Nelson’s song about my uncle billy that would be so great!

Thanks for this sharing this, Kat. Feel so lucky that I got to see Billy W at the Grand Ole Opry just before his tragic and sudden death. He was great! God Bless.

@Katietoo You're welcome...credit for the share actually goes to Benny as he asked me to do it. Yeah, his death was tragic as well as his wife and others in that horrible accident. I've never dug deeper in to how his son is doing. Billy was a sweet man,,,,,,,,always so mellow and always the gentleman. I'm glad you got to see him.
