I’m fairly sure the only thing keeping Lucifer grounded in this version of Hell is Charlie. You really start to see him become closer to what we’d think of as the stereotypical Devil as he starts to lose control. In fact, I think he genuinely seems to get enjoyment out of punishing sinners.
I can easily imagine him getting kicks out of torturing sinners, especially with this universe. And losing control is a good way to describe this scene. Still my favorite character though.
Lucifer didn't even notice the gut until Charlie yelled. Showed how much of a threat the first man was to Lucifer. And then beat him down so easily. Even when he turned his head, you could see he really wasn't impressed with him.
When Charlie stopped Adam's hand. You already know she's stronger than him and the only reason she lost is she never fought anyone with the intention to kill while Adam has YEARS under his belt.

Arrogant, quick to anger, cruel, passionate, etc… I think the only reason we see his good side in the show often is because he acts on his best behavior when Charlie is around. Without Charlie, he’s… y’know… the devil. When he saw Alastor he assumed he was “the bellhop” and was annoyed that he was even being approached by someone so low. When he talks about sinners, he basically has absolutely no sense of sympathy or empathy for them. They’re just his daughter’s little pet project. He kind of talks about them as if they’re toys Charlie will grow out of. He even allowed the exterminations, and based on his behavior, I’m guessing he didn’t even really offer a lot of pushback. Just sort of brushing it off like “they don’t matter anyways”.

Could we also appreciate the music? I like how it plays Lucifer’s leitmotif at the beginning (0:00-0:03), and then Charlie’s leitmotif plays at 0:05 when she makes her move against Adam.
Even after all those horrible things Adam has done to Charlie, her family and her friends, she's still willing to spare his life, when she decided that he's had enough beatdown. While her father gloats over their victory, you can see the remorse in Charlie's eyes. She really is an all-loving hero, if she can show mercy to her worst enemy.
Hell had the upper hand most of this fight. Especially since the Angels fought exactly the as Carmilla stated. They didn't even know their own weapons could hurt them. Which is odd... since they clearly hurt Vaggie Adam was their only Ace in the whole. Though Lute is more strategic and disciplined. I do think she genuinely cared about Adam. Yet, the next fight won't be as evenly matched as this one. Especially since the Angels will be more prepared now that they know their own weaknesses. We don't know what Lilith's deal was with Adam or if that is actually Lilith, but maybe Eve is in disguise. It'd be a twist that Eve was good and saved Charlie from Lilith.
All of the alastor fans...chilll...we love him too, and without him hazbin hotel wouldn't be as interesting...but whether he was being held back or not, canonically, he's not at all as powerful as charlie or lucifer (yet, not saying he won't be in the future), Plus, I loved that Adam was able to defeat Alastor with ease, cuz itll build character.. Alastor always wants to be the most powerful person in the room, and this has given him perspective, he had never been challenged before...he might be the most powerful overlord, but he's still no match for heaven or demon royalty yet...and that's going to make for an interesting story, cuz we don't know what he'll do next.
For their entire "fight" Lucifer was clearly toying with Adam. He didn't take him seriously at all. But the second Adam's attack could have hurt Charlie, Lucifer went full demon and beat Adam's ass without even trying, so you can't really get a good measurement of Lucifers full power. Makes me wonder who would win Lucifer or Sera.
The only bad part of the show is the randomly deciding not to kill the villains trope. Charlie understands she's tried her best and has to kill to save her friends. She and everyone else is okay with killing normal angels all throughout episode 8. But Adam's sidekick, nope can't kill her she gets Mercy. Adam? Nope show him mercy. It's a classic case of only the main villains who are the worst people are bad to kill. Good that Adam got killed by nifty but side girl got away for no reason. (Is her name Lute I forget?)
Yes, and Sir Pentious's death was a bit anticlimactic. It would have been better if he actually had a chance to take the shot and only hit his face, revealing Adam's real face. Then the death would have more meaning imo.

Adam's defeat/death has to be one of my most favorite villain deaths ever. All charlie wanted was to peacefully settled this with adam since the first episode and all adam did was being a huge selfish asshole who believes he is far superior than demons and believes that charlie and her plan to redeem the sinner demons was pathetic. And now look what happened, charlie and the gang had to do this the hard way by killing the exterminating angels. Adam brought this to himself, and he 100% deserved it. I still can't believe charlie still stopped her dad from killing adam after everything he and his killer angels did. If i was her, i would've loved to let lucifer keep beating the shit out of him 😆

Even after all those horrible things Adam has done to Charlie, her family and her friends, she's still willing to spare his life, when she decided that he's had enough beatdown. While her father gloats over their victory, you can see the remorse in Charlie's eyes. She really is an all-loving hero, if she can show mercy to her worst enemy.

We don't know what Lilith's deal was with Adam or if that is actually Lilith, but maybe Eve is in disguise.

Plus, I loved that Adam was able to defeat Alastor with ease, cuz itll build character.. Alastor always wants to be the most powerful person in the room, and this has given him perspective, he had never been challenged before...he might be the most powerful overlord, but he's still no match for heaven or demon royalty yet...and that's going to make for an interesting story, cuz we don't know what he'll do next.

For their entire "fight" Lucifer was clearly toying with Adam. He didn't take him seriously at all. But the second Adam's attack could have hurt Charlie, Lucifer went full demon and beat Adam's ass without even trying, so you can't really get a good measurement of Lucifers full power. Makes me wonder who would win Lucifer or Sera.
That will teach him a lesson definitely he’s just human and Lucifer. He’s an angel, and a very powerful one too.
The only bad part of the show is the randomly deciding not to kill the villains trope. Charlie understands she's tried her best and has to kill to save her friends. She and everyone else is okay with killing normal angels all throughout episode 8. But Adam's sidekick, nope can't kill her she gets Mercy. Adam? Nope show him mercy. It's a classic case of only the main villains who are the worst people are bad to kill.

Yes, and Sir Pentious's death was a bit anticlimactic. It would have been better if he actually had a chance to take the shot and only hit his face, revealing Adam's real face. Then the death would have more meaning imo.

Adam's defeat/death has to be one of my most favorite villain deaths ever. All charlie wanted was to peacefully settled this with adam since the first episode and all adam did was being a huge selfish asshole who believes he is far superior than demons and believes that charlie and her plan to redeem the sinner demons was pathetic. And now look what happened, charlie and the gang had to do this the hard way by killing the exterminating angels. Adam brought this to himself, and he 100% deserved it.
I still can't believe charlie still stopped her dad from killing adam after everything he and his killer angels did. If i was her, i would've loved to let lucifer keep beating the shit out of him 😆
