Ever since they’ve had that one rerun of OG disney shows on disney channel when the current shows Views were declining, they brilliantly brought back shows like that’s so raven and made live action remakes in order to not just target younger audience but a whole family. Being that kids today, their parents and older siblings grew up on the old disney animation. They know the power of nostalgia will bring in more viewers and more money.
If they ever do Princess and the Frog they need to get someone that actually can sing. The real lady voice was so beautiful and went well with the character.
I hope Disney doesn’t even touch that movie it’s my personal favorite. And I’m afraid to see what they’d do seeing what they did to everything else. Again I really don’t want them to touch it’s such a gorgeous movie.

The reason Disney is re making their original films is because Walt Disney said he wanted them to be re done every however many years, so the younger kids could grow up with them too.
There's also a live-action remake of The Fox and the Hound that's in the early stages of development and will be set to be released on Disney Plus, nothing else has been confirmed as of yet. It may have been an underrated Disney film but it's a fan favorite, and it had a small cult following, I would love to see what they might do with it like new and original songs and characters, and add some backstory to Tod, Copper, and the lovely Vixey, and see what changes need to be done.

Rick Sanchez Good point, I’ve seen finding Nemo and finding dori and they do have talking crabs & fish. But for some reason it fits those movies? They don’t go hyper realistic with the fish, so Ariel speaking to Nemo would look out of place. But yeah I haven’t seen aqua man, maybe I will sometime. My brain still says realistic fish don’t have expressions and shouldn’t be able to speak, but maybe the animators can make it work
All I can think of is bad CGI mermaid tails like the advert from Zoolander movie. Some things should just stay as an animation, as animation can do so much more that live action can't.

Crazy fact: I'm pretty sure Disney has never done a film set in Ancient Rome. They've done Greek, they've done Asian, they've done countless European and even New Orleans, but there is no Roman story (despite being one of the most influential civilizations in all of history). Not sure why they're avoiding it, MGM, Universal and even Paramount made numerous films on the Empire back in the day.
It’s sad that Disney is focusing up on remakes instead of originals. After Raya and the Last Dragon it is clear original feature films are taking a back seat and remakes will rule for another few years until Disney runs out of older films to remake which will happen.
I don't care if Disney keeps making remakes. I'm not forcing them to make an original, classic, hand-drawn, nostalgic, traditional movie. I watch other non-Disney films and I'm glad I'm none of those whiny, problematic, hardcore Disney fans who only look forward to original Disney movies. I'm not even forced to watch these movies. 7mandoblu most of the remakes are horrible but the remake Cinderella was perfect. It stayed to the story but gave necessary and interesting backstory. But then the rest had good in parts. Beauty and the beast was good as in the actors chosen. The singing was bad tho. But bell’s backstory was fantastic, great choice. Maleficent was so bad on aurora’s part but I liked the perspective on the classic tale. The lion king wss literally a Live Action remake, as in they changed nother about the story, except for that one song when simba is running back to the pride lands. But we won’t talk about that. The whole movie was seen and made realistically. Like in “Can’t wait to be king” lions don’t dance on giraffes lol. The cgi was accuto an actual lion and I feel like ppl forgot that. Lady and the tramp was the same way but changed it up a bit more with backstory and made things a bit more realistic. The cgi on the mouths tho were okay, they did look derpy in some parts but they did okay. Aladdin was shit. But I will say that I did like how jasmine was seeking independence to ruling a kingdom. That’s it tho. Everything else was shit. I feel like disney needs to film everything in secret and not tell anyone about it until it’s done and is good. If it ain’t. Then don’t release it. Perhaps they set a date and they’re on a crunch and just do everything shitty bc of the time? Whatever the reason is; I think live action remakes are great if done properly. You can’t really blame them for the idea, it’s a fantastic idea. But now they’re getting in over their heads and that’s why everything is messy :/

There's also a live-action remake of The Fox and the Hound that's in the early stages of development and will be set to be released on Disney Plus, nothing else has been confirmed as of yet. It may have been an underrated Disney film but it's a fan favorite, and it had a small cult following, I would love to see what they might do with it like new and original songs and characters, and add some backstory to Tod, Copper, and the lovely Vixey, and see what changes need to be done.

Rick Sanchez Good point, I’ve seen finding Nemo and finding dori and they do have talking crabs & fish. But for some reason it fits those movies? They don’t go hyper realistic with the fish, so Ariel speaking to Nemo would look out of place. But yeah I haven’t seen aqua man, maybe I will sometime. My brain still says realistic fish don’t have expressions and shouldn’t be able to speak, but maybe the animators can make it work

Crazy fact: I'm pretty sure Disney has never done a film set in Ancient Rome. They've done Greek, they've done Asian, they've done countless European and even New Orleans, but there is no Roman story (despite being one of the most influential civilizations in all of history). Not sure why they're avoiding it, MGM, Universal and even Paramount made numerous films on the Empire back in the day.

I don't care if Disney keeps making remakes. I'm not forcing them to make an original, classic, hand-drawn, nostalgic, traditional movie. I watch other non-Disney films and I'm glad I'm none of those whiny, problematic, hardcore Disney fans who only look forward to original Disney movies. I'm not even forced to watch these movies. Imagine a 1 complete year without Disney making any film. I guess no one would probably rant on Disney for that. But actually making something? Now that's where they would complain. At least these movies are not like Shyamalan's The Last Airbender movie.

The role of the little mermaid should be recast by a white Caucasian actress like Anna Kendrick....who can sing, act and is so talented. Also another great actress for the role of Ariel is Hailee Steinfeild...Halle Bailley should be cast as princess Tiana in the princess and the frog movie.

7mandoblu most of the remakes are horrible but the remake Cinderella was perfect. It stayed to the story but gave necessary and interesting backstory. But then the rest had good in parts. Beauty and the beast was good as in the actors chosen. The singing was bad tho. But bell’s backstory was fantastic, great choice. Maleficent was so bad on aurora’s part but I liked the perspective on the classic tale. The lion king wss literally a Live Action remake, as in they changed nother about the story, except for that one song when simba is running back to the pride lands. But we won’t talk about that. The whole movie was seen and made realistically. Like in “Can’t wait to be king” lions don’t dance on giraffes lol. The cgi was accuto an actual lion and I feel like ppl forgot that. Lady and the tramp was the same way but changed it up a bit more with backstory and made things a bit more realistic. The cgi on the mouths tho were okay, they did look derpy in some parts but they did okay. Aladdin was shit. But I will say that I did like how jasmine was seeking independence to ruling a kingdom. That’s it tho. Everything else was shit. I feel like disney needs to film everything in secret and not tell anyone about it until it’s done and is good. If it ain’t. Then don’t release it. Perhaps they set a date and they’re on a crunch and just do everything shitty bc of the time? Whatever the reason is; I think live action remakes are great if done properly. You can’t really blame them for the idea, it’s a fantastic idea. But now they’re getting in over their heads and that’s why everything is messy :/
I loved Cinderella and Aladdin and that's about it. At the time Beauty and the Beast came out I liked it, but since then I have fallen out of love with it. And I don't plan on going to see anymore, especially Mulan or the Little Mermaid. I'm not funding Disney for this rubbish
