this game feels like a love letter to not just Playstation's entire history as a whole (as was Astro's Playroom)
but seeing all the Mario Galaxy-esque gimmics I'm seeing shows they REALLY loved 3D Platformers too
I have never seen a non-nintendo platformer have this much love and polish before!
I'm a die-hard nintendo fan yet this makes me happy just watching what's on screen!
and I'm happy for Playstation fans for finally getting a AAA banger of a pleasant platformer

This is a game that you play with your kids if you're trying to get them into video games. Like how Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt was for me.

Splatoon had Nintendo console easter eggs in some of the rift backgrounds.
This game goes to show you don’t need every game to have open world with crafting. Level based games have been pretty dead, and I would like to see them comeback like this game.

1:08:14 the fact that the devs put the time and effort to make a 1 : 1 replica of ape escape in the game makes me want to play it even more
You can tell how much love and care went into making this game, but the thing that got me were the deep cuts. Suikoden, Arc the Lad, Legend of the Dragoon, Ape Escape, Infamous.... A lot of these franchises haven't seen love in years, so seeing them represented was off the charts.

As a Mario fan like me, Astro Bot looks pretty fun to play, i was a little jealous that this game plays a whole lot fun than Super Mario Odyssey (even tho i prefer that game and most 3D Mario titles to this day) but i can't blame the developers for their Creativity for how great they come up with those ideas for Astro Bot. I hope Nintendo comes up with their new and creative ideas for their next 3D Mario game to look as good and exciting as Astro Bot after Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.

It's basically a big demo. I was expecting more out this game and I'll give this a 6/10. For me sony should make a open world astro bot with powers.
Actually this has more gamplay than all the walking sim slop that is in sony's library.

Everyone is going on about how good this game is but I think it would be even better if it had a VR option as well ? How cool would that be - in fact i think they really let psvr2 owners down who were really looking for an astrobot 2 sequel by not allowing a VR option for this game especially when astrobot rescue was a number one selling game on the PSVR 1 and really helped to sell the headset and especially when they are now struggling to sell the PSVR2 having to lower the price of the price of the headset recently and losing revenue to improve sales - it’s definitely a disservice to us and that was a silly marketing strategy for this game 😢 .
Am just hoping they eventually wise up and produce a vr patch otherwise for me it would be like going back in time playing this on flatscreen and doesn’t make it any different or better than playing the vast amount of other platform ones out there like crash bandicoot or sonic . 😅
